King Cedric (ML)

King Alaric (MC)

King Cedric (ML)

[Sincerely] No, Alaric. I want stability. I’ve seen too many lives lost to war. I don’t want that for my kingdom, or yours.

King Alaric (MC)

[Softening slightly] You speak of peace, yet you have always sought power. Why should I believe you now?

King Cedric (ML)

[Reaching out, desperate] Because I’m standing here, willing to negotiate instead of fight. There’s more to me than the king you think you know.

Meanwhile, lady Isolde

Lady Isolde (mc trusted advisor)

[In her chambers, speaking with Alaric via messenger] Your Majesty, how did the meeting go?

King Alaric (MC)

[Responding thoughtfully] It was… different. He spoke of peace, but I’m not sure, I can trust him.

Lady Isolde (mc trusted advisor)

[Encouragingly] Sometimes, vulnerability can lead to unexpected alliances. Have you considered that he might genuinely want to change?

King Alaric (MC)

[Sighing] I don’t know, Isolde. It feels like there’s a deeper game at play.

Lady Isolde (mc trusted advisor)

[Firmly] Or perhaps it’s a chance for both of you to redefine your fates. Listen to your heart, Alaric.

King Cedric (ML)

[In Vespera’s war room, speaking with Rowan] I think he might actually consider my proposal.

Sir Rowan (ml's knight)

[Surprised] Really? That’s a significant shift for Alaric. What did you say to him?

King Cedric (ML)

[Reflectively] I just spoke, honestly. For the first time, I felt like I was showing him who I really am.

Sir Rowan (ml's knight)

[Nodding] Good. But be careful. He’s been hurt before, and his walls are high

King Cedric (ML)

[Determined] I won’t back down. I want to find common ground. Not just for our kingdoms, but for us.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting golden hues across the meeting place, both kings found themselves lost in thought. The air was thick with unspoken words, and the tension felt different—a mix of hope and uncertainty

King Cedric (ML)
