The room was grand yet carried an air of nostalgia. Arabella stood by the , carefully unpacking their clothes in their megacloset, but her movements were slow, almost absent-minded.
Her thoughts wandered, her fingers lingering on a familiar fabric. She didn’t realize how lost she looked until—
Warm embrace wrapped around her from behind. She didn’t flinch—she had long grown accustomed to the way he held her, the way his presence alone could ease her worries.
His lips brushed against the side of her neck in a tender peck, his breath warm against her skin.

The front door swang open, and Rosalia walked in, carrying multiple shopping bags.

(A few minutes later, Rosalia returns, now freshened up, sliding into her seat at the table. She picks up her fork and takes a bite

(rolling her eyes, unfazed): How should I know? He’s supposed to keep track of me, not the other way around.
