the final show down

Eden

Eden stood off to the side, silent, watchful. His eyes never left Nate as the young warrior approached Tenkan without fear.

“Wake up to reality… you can never win against me!” Tenkan roared, his voice cracking with rage. He vanished in a flash of speed, appearing directly in front of Nate and launching a ruthless barrage of attacks.

But Nate moved like flowing water, weaving around each strike as if they were nothing. Calm and precise, he raised his hand and placed it gently on Tenkan’s chest.

“Full Recovery.”

A golden glow spread from Nate’s palm, wrapping Tenkan’s body in warmth. In mere seconds, his wounds closed, his blood vanished, and his strength returned as if he had never been touched.

“You… healed me?” Tenkan asked, stunned. His voice trembled with confusion. “Why…?”

Nate stepped back, eyes closed, never turning his back.

“Because I want to make a wager.”

Tenkan’s gaze sharpened. “What kind of wager?”

“The loser does what the winner says,” Nate said calmly. “And for that to mean anything, you need to be at your peak.”

Silence followed. The wind howled softly.

Then Tenkan smirked. A low chuckle escaped his lips. “It’s a deal.”

Nate’s eyes opened slowly. “Good. Because I don’t plan on losing.”

Dark purple energy burst from Nate, wild and chaotic, pulsing with a fury Eden had never seen. The pressure in the air shifted violently.

So this… this was Nate's full power.

Tenkan’s energy flared to meet it, the raw weight of it cracking the ground beneath them. Their combined auras twisted the sky above—darkening clouds, conjuring lightning that danced on the horizon.

And then, in an instant, both vanished.

A shockwave echoed as they reappeared mid-air, fists colliding with a force that shattered the forest below.

The Battle Begins

Each clash echoed like thunder. Their blows tore through the earth, uprooting trees, splitting stone, and sending shockwaves in every direction. The battlefield was reduced to rubble with every passing second.

To a regular eye, they had vanished entirely—but Eden saw it all. And to him, it was clear.

Nate had the advantage.

Every strike he landed drove Tenkan back. Yet Tenkan endured, countering with blows strong enough to crush mountains. He wasn’t backing down.

And still, Nate pressed forward.

Nate

They’d been fighting for what felt like hours—no spells, no flashy tricks. Just fists, grit, and power.

Tenkan hit harder than Eden.

That fact alone told Nate everything.

Tenkan had suffered. Trained through torment. Become a monster forged in fire.

And Nate respected the hell out of that.

But this fight wasn’t about domination.

It was about redemption.

“Why did you hold back in the arena?” Tenkan asked, breathing heavily.

Nate wiped blood from his lip and shrugged. “Because I didn’t need to go all out.”

Tenkan scoffed. “Oh? And now you do?”

“Yeah… Leona would probably slap me if I failed you again.”

The moment her name left Nate’s mouth, Tenkan froze.

His eyes widened. “How… how do you know that name?”

Nate smirked. “She never told anyone, right? If you want answers… beat me. Not that you ever could.”

Before Tenkan could react, Nate vanished—reappearing behind him with a swift kick that sent Tenkan flying through the trees.

Classic.

Tenkan landed clean, unshaken. Ready for more.

Eden

Leona?

Eden’s eyes narrowed.

Who was she?

Whoever she was, the mention of her clearly ignited something inside Tenkan. His strikes became savage. His power surged, blowing away what remained of the forest.

One powerful punch connected, sending Nate crashing through several trees, skidding to a stop with blood trailing from his nose.

Still, Nate wiped it away and grinned. “C’mon, Tenkan… Eden said you were stronger than him. This? This is just sad.”

Tenkan Shirayuki

Tenkan’s fists trembled.

“Fine,” he growled. “You want my full strength? Then I’ll give it to you.”

He closed his eyes. Wind spiraled around him as he released every ounce of his energy. A divine, unearthly pressure engulfed the battlefield.

Nate let out a low whistle. “Now that’s more like it.”

A sleek, glowing armor formed over Tenkan’s body, crackling with power. It wasn’t from this world—not Holy Knight magic, not human craftsmanship.

No, this power came from somewhere else.

A blade appeared in Tenkan’s hand—long, sharp, refined. As he stepped forward, Nate’s expression changed.

Just for a moment… his confidence slipped.

Tenkan smiled. Good.

Nate

Shit. Now this was a real fight.

“You regretting that little wager now?” Tenkan sneered.

“Not at all,” Nate replied. “Winning against your weaker self would’ve been cheating.”

And then—

Nate felt it.

One presence in front.

One behind.

He barely had time to move before both projections of Tenkan attacked in unison. Too fast.

He braced for impact.

But a blur shot out of the shadows.

Nate’s goblin knight intercepted the blow, taking the hit with a grunt of loyalty.

Nate exhaled, eyes widening. “Damn… talk about timing.”

Tenkan’s face twisted in disbelief. “A goblin… defending you? A human?”

Nate wiped sweat from his brow, smirking. “Beat me and I’ll explain.”

He closed his eyes.

“System… Activate Beast Strength and Double Mana.”

System Notification:

Double Mana – Active.

Beast Strength – Pending…

Please select a beast.

Nate opened his eyes, unwavering.

“All of them.”

System Warning:

Selecting all beasts may cause permanent damage.

“I know. Do it anyway. And release my blade.”

System Notification:

All beasts selected.

Summoning: Crocodile Blade.

A blinding light lit up the battlefield. A long, savage blade formed in front of Nate. He reached out, grasping its hilt as raw power surged through him like wildfire.

Tenkan dismissed his projections. He stepped forward with a grin.

“Looks like you’ve powered up too. Alright… let’s end this.”

With one swing of his blade, Nate erased Tenkan’s illusions from existence—clean, final.

Then he pointed the tip of his sword straight at him.

“Let’s end this, Jaden Shirayuki.”
