The School
The night comes, she remained in her room. She had long-lost the desire to prove herself. She just didn't want to argue with those who don't even consider her. Furthermore, she doesn't have enough energy. Soon one of the maids of her mother came inside her room slamming the door to the sides. Yes, even servants treat her indifferently. Well… It is well known she is not favored.
Maid
"The master have ordered me to give you food. " She stops, smiles slyly as she slides the plate with two apples and a soup towards her.
It was her father... He wants her to eat her dinner in her own room today. Off course, as a punishment. Well… She prefers it this way too. After all looking at a happy family as a third person was never her piece of cake. Not when they consider her as an omen to their happiness.
She silently ate her food and went to sleep. Tommorow is the day she have to resume school again after a long break.
Millicent sat on the edge of her bed, staring at the uniform draped over the chair. The same uniform she had worn for years, yet today, it felt heavier than ever. Her final year. Just a few more months, and she could be free—or at least, that’s what she told herself.
She pulled the fabric over her arms, buttoning up the blouse with slow, deliberate movements. Her stepmother wouldn’t let her go to college. That much was clear. But Millicent had never been one to accept her fate so easily.
Her hands tightened into fists.
They could call her cruel. They could spread their lies. But they couldn’t take away her mind. At least that was the thing she is proud about herself.
The hallway outside her room creaked. Millicent instinctively tensed.
Gloria Gertude
“Are you still not done?” her sister’s sharp voice cut through the silence. “Trying to look all neat and perfect again? Ugh, you really are so fake.”
Millicent didn’t respond. There was no point.

Her sister scoffed and leaned against the door frame, arms crossed. “I heard Mother talking to Father last night. She said you’re wasting time even thinking about college. Maybe if you weren’t such a freak, you wouldn’t have to dream about running away.”
Millicent turned to face her at this sudden remark. Still... expressionless
Millicent Gertude
Running away? If only it were that simple. (she murmurs)

(Instead of reacting, Millicent simply picked up her bag and brushed past her sister, not sparing her another glance. She had bigger battles to fight.)
The school hallways were no different from home.
Whispers....!!!! Stares....!!!!
School Student1
A hand "accidentally" knocking her books to the ground.
She picked up her books and can sense several students staring and giggling looking at her....
The only thing that mattered was her classroom—her seat in the second row, where she could drown out the noise and lose herself in numbers. Mathematics had always been her refuge. Unlike people, numbers never lied. They had no rumors, no grudges. Only truth.
