Emperor Zhi Wei had an imperial consort, alongside a retinue of concubines within the opulent halls of the palace. Yet, among them all, his heart belonged most to one favored concubine, who bore him a son—a child destined for greatness. This boy would rise to become a renowned general, a warrior of unparalleled skill, and ultimately, the greatest emperor in Da Yong’s storied history.
The story I am writing is not about the great emperor who was cherished by both his father and mother, but rather about the son of the empress, who was neglected throughout his childhood. Despite his hardships, he rose to power through cunning schemes, only to meet a tragic end—betrayed and killed by his own servant.
