Chap. 1: SSG PRESIDENT
The classroom was hushed as Ms. Xiao stood before the whiteboard, her chalk dancing across the surface.
Ms. Lu Ann Xiao
Today, class,
She began, her voice clear and authoritative,
Ms. Lu Ann Xiao
We're going to delve into the fascinating world of forces.
She drew a simple diagram of a box on an inclined plane, the lines precise and elegant.
Ms. Lu Ann Xiao
Now, as you know. Forces are fundamental to understand how objects move, or don't move. They can be simple, like the force of gravity pulling us down, or more complex, like the force of friction acting against motion.
She continued, her gaze sweeping over the attentive faces.
The classroom buzzed with a low hum of anticipation as Ms. Xiao, our physics teacher, walked to the front of the room. Her presence was a familiar comfort, her sharp, intelligent gaze scanning the rows of desks. She always seemed to know when someone was daydreaming, even if their eyes were glued to the textbook.
I settled deeper into my seat, my fingers tracing the worn edges of my notebook. The whiteboard loomed above us, a blank canvas for the mysteries of the universe.
Ms. Lu Ann Xiao
Forces, are the invisible hands that push and pull, that cause things to move or stay still.
She walked to the back of the classroom, her footsteps echoing through the stillness, and picked up a small metal sphere.
Ms. Lu Ann Xiao
Think of this sphere...
She said, holding it aloft,
Ms. Lu Ann Xiao
As a representation of any object. It's subject to the force of gravity, pulling it down, and the force of friction, opposing its movement.
I watched intently, mesmerized by the way she effortlessly wove together concepts, making even the most complex ideas seem accessible.
Ms. Xiao continued, her words sparking my curiosity.
Ms. Lu Ann Xiao
There are other forces, like the electromagnetic force, responsible for the interaction between charged particles, and the strong nuclear force, which holds the nucleus of an atom together.
In the middle of the class, the door suddenly swung open, revealing a guy wearing his complete and formal student uniform, his face stern and his gaze sharp. He carried a briefcase that clicked shut with a sharp, decisive sound, and he walked towards the front of the class with a quiet, purposeful stride that sent a shiver down my spine.
ACE ANDERSON
SSG-PRESIDENT
COLD / INTIMIDATING and MYSTERIOUS.
BOSSY- SMART
Everyone in the room went silent, eyes shifting to the newcomer with a mixture of curiosity and apprehension. Whispers began to ripple through the classroom, but I had no idea who this man was, or what he was doing in our physics class.
He said, his voice a low rumble that seemed to echo in the hushed room.
Ace Anderson
I need to speak with you.
Ms. Xiao, ever the composed educator, nodded calmly.
Ms. Lu Ann Xiao
Excuse me, class.
Ms. Lu Ann Xiao
I'll call you back in a few minutes.
She stood up and followed the guy out of the classroom, leaving behind a room full of anxious whispers and curious gazes. The man's presence had disrupted the familiar rhythm of our physics lesson, leaving an unsettling feeling of unease in its wake.
I whispered to the girl next to me, my voice barely audible above the murmurs of the other students.
FS#1: Keturah
That's the Ssg president,
She whispered back, her eyes wide with a mix of awe and fear.
FS#1: Keturah
He's a real mystery.
The Ssg president? I had no idea who that was. I was still a new student, navigating the complexities of university life. I'd been so focused on finding my bearings and getting my bearings that I hadn't paid much attention to student politics.
FS#1: Keturah
He's super cold to everyone, they say he is very bossy and very intimidating.
The girl continued, her voice dropping to a hushed tone. The whispers in the room intensified, revealing a sense of both curiosity and unease. I watched as the Ssg president addressed Ms. Xiao, his voice a low rumble that seemed to echo through the room.
