Chapter 4

I got to work the next day, everything was a little bit different from before. Anyway it's time for our lunch break, Mr White asked me to get him something to eat. I left the office, I got outside and I found an expensive car packed outside the building. I wonder who owns such an expensive car.

 I pretended like I didn't see anything. I went to get lunch for Mr White and myself. I walked out of the restaurant and I saw the same car, I saw back at the office building. Don't you think it's strange that the car is here... it's kinda creepy if you ask me, I'm kinda scared. I tried my best to stay calm.

     I started walking and the car engine started. I tried walking slowly and the car started moving slowly. I walked very fast and it moved very fast. What?.....am I being hunted by a car?...although I'd admit that the car is quite expensive. Lilith now is not the time to be imagining things.

     I began to run....and the car chased me. I kept on running and it felt like I ran round the entire country. I continue running, then I had an Idea..... which is to call the people I love so I decided to call Joyce. "Hey Lilith...what's up?" Joyce asked. "Joyce, Joyce listen to me...I think I'm been hunted by an evil car" I said. "What?.... Lilith is this some kind of joke?" Joyce asked. 

 "Joyce you have to believe me..... I'm being chased by a hunted but an expensive car" I said. "Lilith did you drink again?" Joyce asked. "What why on Earth would I drink on a hot Thursday?...Joyce I'm not lying... you have to believe me.... but if you don't believe me it's fine but I want you to know that I love you and Nathaniel and my Mom but not my Dad and brother... Joyce if you don't here from me in the next one hour please report to the police " I said.

 I hung up and I continue running but unfortunately for me the car parked right in front of me. The driver didn't come out of the car. I quickly brought out a pepper spray from my back pocket. I showed the driver. "I....I have a pepper spray.....and....and I'm not afraid to use it" I said

 The passenger door from the back opened and a man wearing a white suit came out. I can't see his face because he wore a white hat. The man slowly walks close to me while I took some steps back. "I.... I'm warning you.....I won't be responsible for the choice I'm about to take right now" I said

    The man didn't listen he kept walking to my direction. He grabbed my hand and I panicked, I sprayed the pepper spray in his eyes. The man screamed in pain...although the voice sounds so familiar. I took off his hat to see it was Wesley. "Oh my gosh... I'm so sorry, I didn't know it was you" I said. 

 "Do you always do this to people who wants to talk to you?" Wesley asked. "No" I said. "Then why in God's name do you have a pepper spray"? HE asked. "It's to protect myself" I said. "From what exactly?" Wesley asked. "From stalkers.... which reminds me why the heck are you following me?.... do you have any idea how frightening that is?" I asked "I just wanted to talk to you" He said. 

 "By stalking me?" I asked. "I'm not stalking you...I stopped by your office today because I wanted to talk and when you looked at my car I thought you knew I was the one and when you left the office I thought you were taking me to a more private place" Wesley said. "Private?.....for heaven's sake I thought you were trying to kidnap me or something... Please could you not do this next time?" I asked. "Sure" Wesley said.

 "Now what do you want to talk about?" I asked. "It's your Mom..... she's currently ill and she wishes to see you" Wesley said. "What...what happened to her? I asked. "She was diagnosed with lukemia also know as cancer.....of the blood" Wesley said. "What?....how? W...what did the doctor say? I asked. Well it seems to me that she would need to undergo Chemotherapy and a blood transfusion" Wesley said. 

 "Oh, my God...I can't believe this is happening" I said. "I'd send you the location so you could go and visit her" Wesley said. "Th... thank you Wesley" I said. "It's no problem" He replied. I turned to leave. "Lilith let me give you a ride to the office....I figured you have no idea where you are right now" Wesley said. Well as much as I would love to object, he's right I don't know where I am. I agreed and we both got into the car. I sat down still thinking about what he told me.

 "Lilith don't worry, everything would be fine" He said. I looked at him and forced a smile on my face, I noticed his eyes were still red. "Your eyes....." I said. "Don't worry I'd go to the hospital once I drop you off" Wesley said. I smiled. Minutes later my phone started ringing, Joyce's the one calling. "Lilith where are you?" Joyce asked. "Huh?" I asked. 

 "You said you were being chased...where are you right now?" Nathaniel asked. "Um.... there's no need to worry I'm fine...and Joyce was right my imagination was playing tricks on me" I said. "Thank God.....you made us worry" Nathaniel said. "I'd call you guys when I get home" I said "alright" Joyce said. Joyce hung up, I asked Wesley to drop me off three buildings away from the office. "Lilith take care of yourself" Wesley said. I nodded and left.
