The sky was slowly turning brighter outside, indicating early hours in the morning when Jun opened his eyes and slowly sat up on the bed. He rubbed his forehead with a groan from feeling the discomfort of a hangover. His stomach wasn't feeling well either, it hurt like someone would deliver a spinning back kick to his gut. Only the light chill of the morning was somewhat comforting to his bare skin as he had no shirt on.

Half-conscious, he waved with his arm to the right feeling around with his hand to reach his glasses, but ended up waving in an empty space. Surprised, he looked to the right. There should be a night stand right next to the bed... but there was nothing.

An uneasy feeling creeped into his mind and formed a lump in his throat. He slowly looked around. Now he realized that the room he was in wasn't his own. Unknown walls and decor were a sign that he wasn't in any of his friends apartments either.

Finally his stare turned to the left and he froze. The other side of the bed was occupied by someone he didn't recognize. The man was sleeping peacefully facing Jun while laying on his front and embracing his pillow underneath. He had no shirt either, only covered with the bed sheets up to his shoulder. Meanwhile Jun started to panic inside, he instinctively grabbed the sheets and pulled up, assuming what everyone else would in this unambiguous situation. But on the contrary to his fears he was still wearing his pants with the belt wrapped tight. The beige haired bed companion had some gray sweatpants on. It seemed that nothing regrettable happened between them, but still...

Jun put the sheets back with a heavy sigh, hunched forward and hid his face in hands. He tried to calm down wondering what was he doing last night to end up in this situation. The numb headache was definitely a hangover, so he must've gone out drinking.

After a couple of deep breaths his memory started to come back, bit by bit.

He remembered that he wasn't feeling well lately, like not being himself. He felt fatigued all the time and sometimes reacted aggressively for no reason. Everyone including doctors blamed it on stress, so it was what he believed too. The timing was convincing as the job wasn't going easy on him, it was a busy season after all, so it was safe to say that everyone was stressed out. Eventually during a convenient change of pace his coworkers wanted to unwind and suggested that they all should go out drinking. He agreed to join them, and so they went to a place that they wanted to check out for a while. It was a fair distance away, but the positive reviews of the club seemed to be worth it, and everybody needed some change of scenery anyway. Going to a different part of the city felt exciting on its own, or, at least that's what others were saying. Jun didn't care much about it. He looked up at the bright neon sign with an indifferent expression and followed others inside.
