Uneasy rhythm
The air is thick with exhaustion, the only sound the rhythmic squeak of sneakers against the floor. Lior moves through the choreography again—sharp turns, precise footwork, a near-flawless execution… until the last beat.
Lucien watches, arms crossed, jaw tight. He wasn’t supposed to be here. He wasn’t supposed to be teaching him.
Kaijin Takahashi
( dryly) If you’re gonna mess up, at least make it look intentional.
Lior glares at him through the mirror. Glaring
Lior Nacht
Thanks for the insight. Legend.
Kaijin Takahashi
Come again.
Lior exhales sharply but resets. The music starts. This time, Lucien moves beside him, their reflections mirroring each other—two opposing forces locked in the same rhythm.
Lior follows, every move precise, but just before the final sequence, Kaijin steps in. Close. Too close.
Kaijin Takahashi
(Low) you are too stiff. Loosen up.
Kaijin’s breath is warm against his ear.
Kaijin Takahashi
Not enough.
His hands—hot, firm, confident—press lightly against Lior’s waist, adjusting his stance. Lior tenses instantly.
Kaijin feels that. He smirks.
Kaijin Takahashi
Oh? That get to you?
Lior Nacht
Just shut up and dance.
Kaijin lets out a slow amused exhale.
Kaijin Takahashi
As you wish, starboy.
This time, when they move, it’s different. The space between them is charged—every glance, every brush of skin sparking something neither wants to name.
By the final beat, Lior doesn’t stumble.
Kaijin leans against the mirror, arms crossed, watching as Lior exhales, running a hand through his damp hair.
Kaijin Takahashi
Not bad.
Lior Nacht
(Panting) shut up.
Kaijin Takahashi
(Chuckles) you say that a lot.
Lior throws his towel at him. Kaijin catches it. Grinning.
He still doesn’t want to be here.
