THE MACHINE DISCOVERY

Over the next few weeks, Danielle introduced Jungkook to the bit by bit. His movements were fluid, his voice increasingly natural as she fine-tuned his programming.

He was good at functioning, but his insatiable curiosity amazed her the most.

One morning, as Danielle sipped her coffee and tinkered some wires, she found Jungkook staring at a potted plant on the windowsill.

Jungkook was amused, his hands reached out to touch a leaf.

The rest of the day was spent in peace, Jungkook devouring books on dark romance and mystery.

He also read a few books on philosophy and human behavior, asking Danielle questions that left her pondering in the night.

He even watched movies with her, his favorite themes were love and sacrifice.

Currently, they were watching a movie after dinner.

Jungkook watched the romantic movie, observing every bit of it.

Because it is human nature. Love makes people feel seen, understood, and less alone.

Jungkook's question caught Danielle off guard. She looked away, her chest tightening at the memories.

Jungkook smiled. A smile which seemed so human.

A small blush creeped up on Danielle's cheeks. Was she crushing over her own creation?

(mind voice) Danielle, what are you doing?

She decided to ignore the flip that occurred inside her stomach, when she saw Jungkook smiling.

Of course. Always.

They continued watching the movie. Jungkook unconsciously threw his hand over Danielle's shoulders, pulling her closer to him.

Danielle was stunned. She froze in place, her brain trying to digest whatever just happened.

Jungkook looked at her, confused.

He asked, staring at her with his steel yet doe eyes.

Danielle mentally slapped herself and calmed down.
