The emperor and the empress were astounded from this discovery even the priest was shocked to his core, it was the first time something like this happened but one thing was clear, "he was not the real heir". Crown prince was looking dumbfoundedly at his parents as he couldn't understand their behavior, he waited for them to explain but saw his mother sobbing and couldn't help but ask, "Mother, why are you crying?"

The sentence was more like a conclusion than a question, the emperor looked at his wife whose beautiful face was filled with tears and she stood their while gripping her long skirt tightly. Hearing no answers, she spoke again, "I don't care what you do but i want my own child and you will have to find him". She looked at the boy whom she loved unconditionally, she knew nothing wrong was done by him but the fact that his real son was not here crushed her, she spoke painfully, "Just don't think anything and forgive your mother for this but don't come to me unless i call you for". She then left the two men who were standing like a statue, the emperor regretted not telling his wife the whole truth about his past. He looked at his son and spoke, "There is no doubt that you are my son but your mother is not the empress. Don't worry even if the empress is being like this its just because she is shocked, you know that she loves you? The boy nodded but tears were flowing from his eyes, the emperor spoke again, "You mother was the lover i had before marrying the empress". Then suddenly the emperor grabbed the boy's shoulder with both hands and spoke, "Never doubt your parents love, even if we find your brother you will remain my son so when we find him treat him like your brother and love him. Ok?" The boy nodded and the emperor escorted him to his room before making his way to the empress's castle.

He knew this time its all his fault, the decisions that he took in the past are now coming back to bite him but what can he do? Everyone makes mistakes when they are young and he was the same, his only regret is now that he never opened his heart to the empress.

He reached the gates and dismissed the maids and guards before entering, he saw her sitting on the edge of the bed with dis-shelved hair, her palms were red and even little cuts appeared on her lips from her bitewing. She looked devastated and he could only kneel in front of her. He spoke, "I am sorry dear, it was my fault that our son is not here but trust me i didn't knew that she was pregnant and.." He was harshly interrupted, she spoke, "Do you understand the meaning of this? Her eyes were now looking at him as she spoke, "So, you cheated on me with that woman because her son and my son are of the same age. Did you abduct my son and kill him so that your lover's son can be the new emperor and next what, she must be waiting to remove me now. Right?

Her every word was thorn for him which pierced his heart and he worriedly grabbed her hands, speaking, "No, how can you say that i killed our son. You know i would never do that and for this boy i know it was my bad but i didn't cheat on you".

His words felt like mockery to her and she broke free from his grip before giving him a tight slap, she spoke, "I had enough of your hypocrisy, do whatever you want because i will be leaving this empire for forever, the divorce papers are already ready, sign it before i embarrass in front of the whole empire". The emperor couldn't believe his ears, his wife had always been soft to him but seeing her like this, it only pained him. After telling him to get lost, the empress lied on her bed and started sobbing, it was unbearable for think how her real son was suffering outside while she was here living her life lavishly and loving someone's else child.
