Climbing up a fire escape I grabbed my bag and walked along the roof tops for as long as I could. I jumped down walking along the street before arriving to my bike. An old blue bike without different gears or brakes she was my baby though to anyone who saw it, it was just a piece of junk. I pushed the pedals, gaining speed, the wind blowing my hair back, I turned on the familiar street finding my house.

I smiled slowing down, the light of the living room was still on, shaking my head I sighed, I hopped off my bike on the side of the house and walked to the door. I put the code for the door in, swiped my card and began unlocking it with my key, when I heard giggling on the other side of the door, I turned the knob as the door swung open. Oh my god I have to call the ghost busters, there's a ghost here, the giggling resumed from behind the door as a two year old and a five year old stepped out, Nooo *giggling* it was just us, oh thank goodness, breathing a sigh of relief, hand on my chest I almost had a heart attack. Now why are you two still downstairs and not getting ready for bed. Two year old daylen said "is a sewet" putting his finger on his mouth and shushing the air around him, each child grabbed one of my hands. As they led me into the kitchen showing me a cake they made, this is so pretty who helped you make it, they looked at eachother before blurting out "ty was supposed to help but bribri helped instead", oh and where's tyler, they shrugged where's Brianna? also shrugging they turned to the cake taste it taste it, I grabbed a spoon and knife from the dishes. Kayle?, the five year old turned to me "yes?"

"Could you get me a plate sweetie?

"Uh huh" she replied before running away. "And make sure to get one for you and little daylen i added shortly after. "Really"?! she exclaimed. yep today's Friday. You know we stay up a little longer on the weekend.

I served the plates, asking what movie they wanted to watch, kayle automatically said frozen, while daylen just stared before asking " I tha the one wih the no man?" As soon as I replied "yep" his confusion quickly turned into a smile "yeah tha one."

As we watched frozen for the millionth time I wondered where the others had gone, when the movie finished daylen was fast asleep, and kayle was struggling to keep her eyes open. A quiet laugh escaped my lips as I picked both children up. I headed up the stairs seeing light filtering out from the door to Tyler's room. Kayle shifted in my arm snuggling into me, I walked past his room and into the children's room, as i put them to bed. I kissed both their foreheads wishing them a good nights sleep before closing the door as the night light turned on.

Walking to ty's room I heard muffled laughter, one I wasn't accustomed to. I knocked on the door you better be decent I said as I opened the door. A curly haired brunette with big doe eyes looked at me "Is that your mom?" Ty looked uncomfortable, I guess you could say that, the girl nodded in understanding " a stepmom" I looked at ty my hand on my hip "have you been up here the whole day"

Tyler gulped uh yeah, So you willingly left kayle and daylen in the kitchen, when they were trying to make a cake?

Ty stuttered w well no, I didn't even know they were going to make a cake, I smirked as Tyler's eyes widened. The girl quickly tried to fix what Ty had done. "I'm sorry Miss Kitschy I asked Ty to let me hang here for a while" "oh sweetie you don't have to apologize I was just bugging Ty. You're welcome to stay". I replied a smile making its way onto my lips. "Though not in this room" I add as she looks at Ty. Blushing she puts her hand out, my name is Amaya but you can call me Maya. I take her hand my name is Cindy feel free to call me Cindy or if you feel more comfortable calling me Miss. Kitschy then have at it. I let go of her hand, now if you don't mind me asking do you go to the same school as Tyler. No, I felt my eyes widened a bit but hopefully not enough for her to notice, wait I mean yes, well I do now I went to east town high for two years but I met Ty freshman year at a soccer game, then I was homeschooled for a year, and now I go to west as a senior.

"Well you've sure covered all the bases" i smiled at her explaination. Ty chose that moment to interrupt yes, yes, she has, my eyes widened and Maya blushed, I cleared my throat and excused myself. Tyler's laughter ceased as a loud smack sounded though the door. Oh, I like that girl already.
