Episode Two

Sarah POV)

I threw the door open with so much force it pretty much shook the whole house.

Jade sighed and looked at the floor. "Guilty" she muttered under her breath. "Guilty of what!?" I roared with anger. I was so annoyed that I was ready to murder her.

"Of killing vampires." she said calmly, shrugging.

"Wait, what?" I said, shocked out of my anger.

"I'm. Guilty. Of. Killing. Vampires." Jade replied, while flicking her shoulder length, jet black hair out of her clear blue eyes like nothing of such absolute craziness had come out her mouth.

"V-vampires?" I stuttered, shaking.

"Yep." She said, gazing at me intently, watching my reaction closely. Seeing that I didn't believe her, she held up a wooden stake, pointed at it and said "vampire blood, look." I looked, and there was indeed some black liquid on the weapon, and on her silver dagger too.

Finally believing her, I stuttered out an "oh."

Suddenly finding my voice again, I almost shouted, "but mom and dad were killed by v-v-vampires... You lied!" I yelled, suddenly realising what had happened. "You covered up for that bloodsucking freak that killed them!" Jade looked down at her boots. "I was trying to protect you..." She mumbled. I was about to retort, when I heard Niamh come down the stairs, and before I could say anything, she started yelling "protect us! Protect us! Just because you are the oldest, it does NOT mean that you have the right to hide the truth from us!" With that she shot a furious look at Jade, grabbed a vase and lobbed it at her with all her strength. She easily put her hand in the air and caught it, without it breaking - no human could of moved that fast.

Me and Niamh gasped. "Jade?" Niamh asked with a question in her voice. "You guys..." Jade started. "Yes?" I probed her. She moved across the room and sat heavily in a chair. "Well you see... I-I'm..."

"Half vampire" she finally got out.

(Niamh POV)

When I had thrown that vase at Jade, I expected it to crash onto her, or for her to have at least moved out of its way. I almost wish I hadn't thrown it. Almost. Now I knew the truth, everything made a sort of sense. It explains why she goes out at night.

She goes out to suck blood - to be a filthy bloodsucking freak.

I broke down crying on the stairs yet again.

Why my sister? Why our family? Are we cursed? First our parents, now my sister. Ex sister. I thought bitterly.

I gave up on crying, and trod heavily down the stairs to question and shout at Jade some more. I stormed into the messy living room which had mismatched furniture everywhere to find Sarah asleep on the sofa, snoring her head off. I giggled, and then remembered what Jade was now. The smile fell from my face, and my giggles stopped abruptly.

I opened my mouth, and started a sentence that would have most definitely insulted Jade, but she crossed the room in a flash and cut me off by saying, "Don't, just don't. I can explain everything, just don't patronise me any more, ok?" I nodded, and she sat back down.

"Before I start, don't interrupt me, ok?" She said. I nodded again, not trusting myself to speak. Jade took a deep breath and began to tell her twisted tale of four years.
