Page 4: The Flashback - The Call to Kumarikandam
Panel 1:
The scene fades into a flashback. A young Varshit, around 10 years old, is standing in front of a burning house in the village, smoke rising into the sky. His eyes are filled with grief, and his hands are shaking as he holds a torn, old map.
Caption (Narrator’s voice):
"Years ago, Varshit lost everything in a fire—his home, his family, and the one person who kept the truth of the island from him."
Panel 2:
Varshit is sitting in the ruins of the house, with his grandfather, an old and wise man, next to him. The grandfather holds an old journal with intricate designs. He whispers to Varshit, his voice filled with sorrow and mystery.
Grandfather:
“The island... Kumarikandam. It holds the key to your past. The treasure hidden there is not just gold—it’s something more. Something you need.”
Panel 3:
The young Varshit, looking confused and angry, holds the map tightly as if trying to understand his grandfather’s words.
Young Varshit:
“Why didn’t you tell me sooner? Why didn’t we go there?”
Panel 4:
The old man places a hand on Varshit’s shoulder, his eyes dark and weary as if burdened by a secret.
Grandfather:
“The island... only reveals itself to those who are ready. You will go when the time is right.”
Panel 5:
Close-up of Varshit’s face as the memory shifts, now showing his adult form. His eyes reflect the same sadness and determination as he recalls the words of his grandfather. The image of the island appears faintly in his mind.
Varshit (thinking):
“And now, the time is right. I will uncover the truth.”
Panel 6:
Cut back to the present. Varshit is standing at the entrance of the temple on Kumarikandam, his face steeled with resolve as he grips the old map that was given to him all those years ago.
Varshit (whispering):
“This is for you, Grandfather. I’ll find the treasure... and the answers.”

The team is now inside the temple, facing a massive stone door adorned with intricate carvings of mythical creatures. The air is thick with dust and ancient energy.
Renit:
“This... this is where it all begins. But what are we really looking for?”
Panel 2:
Varshit steps forward, raising his hand toward the stone door. He traces the carvings, and suddenly, the door begins to glow with a faint, eerie light.
Varshit (determined):
“We’re looking for something more than treasure. We’re looking for the key to everything... the island’s secret.”
Panel 3:
Afthaf looks over at Varshit, a mixture of awe and worry in his eyes.
Afthaf:
“What secret, Varshit? What are you not telling us?”
Panel 4:
Varshit stands before the door as it slowly begins to open, revealing a dark, mysterious chamber beyond.
Varshit (calm):
“Everything I’ve been searching for. My past... and my future.”

Renit (whispering):
“Something’s off about this place... I can feel it.”
Garrick:
“Keep your guard up.”

As Varshit leads the way, the ground beneath their feet shifts suddenly, triggering a massive stone door to slam shut behind them.
Varshit (shouting):
“We’re trapped!”

Afthaf (nervously):
“Are those... traps?”
Panel 4:
A series of large, spiked pillars shoot up from the floor, narrowly missing the group as they dodge to the sides. The room is now a deadly maze of traps.
Rian (yelling):
“Move! Move!”
Renit (gritting his teeth):
“This place is designed to kill us!”
Panel 5:
The team runs to avoid the spiked pillars, but ahead of them, the ground cracks open, revealing a large, slithering creature emerging from the darkness—its scales shimmer in the dim light, and its eyes glow red.
Garrick (horrified):
“What the hell is that?!”

Page 7: The Monster Awakens
Panel 1:
The monstrous creature, resembling a massive serpent with the body of a dragon, uncoils and lunges toward them. Its fangs are dripping with venom.
Varshit (shouting):
“Get ready! We’re not running this time!”
Panel 2:
Afthaf draws his weapon, a sharp, curved blade, and charges toward the beast, slashing at its scales. The creature lets out a deafening roar as the blade strikes it.
Afthaf:
“Come on, you overgrown snake!”
Panel 3:
Renit pulls out a crossbow and fires a bolt directly into one of the creature’s eyes. The beast recoils, screeching in pain, but its scales seem to heal instantly.
Renit (grimacing):
“Nothing’s getting through its armor!”
Panel 4:
The serpent monster begins to rear back, preparing to strike again, when suddenly, the ground shifts, causing one of the stone pillars to fall and land on the creature’s tail, trapping it temporarily.
Rian (panting):
“That was close! We need to find a way out of here, fast!”
Panel 5:
The team is now cornered by a large, moving wall of stone that is closing in on them. The trap seems to be triggered by their presence.
Varshit (urgent):
“Everyone, follow me! We can’t stay here!”

Panel 1:
The team rushes through the collapsing passageways of the temple, narrowly avoiding falling debris and more traps. In the background, the serpent monster is still writhing, trying to free itself from the fallen stone pillar.
Afthaf (out of breath):
“We’ve got to keep moving, or we’re dead!”
Panel 2:
The team reaches a massive chamber filled with towering statues of ancient warriors. In the center of the room, a pedestal sits, glowing with an ethereal light. It’s the treasure they’ve been seeking.
Rian (astonished):
“Is that it? The treasure?”
Panel 3:
Close-up of Varshit as he steps forward toward the pedestal, his hand hovering over it. The air in the chamber feels heavy, as though the room is alive with energy.
Varshit (whispering):
“This is it. But something feels wrong.”
Panel 4:
Suddenly, the statues around them start to move, their stone bodies creaking as they come to life, revealing that they are not mere statues, but stone guardians of the treasure.
Stone Guardian (deep, booming voice):
“No one may claim the treasure of Kumarikandam.”
Panel 5:
The team is now surrounded by the stone guardians, each armed with massive weapons. Varshit’s expression hardens, his hand ready to draw his weapon.
Varshit:
“We didn’t come this far to back down now.”
