Jungkook stares at the business card on the table. His fingers hover over it as if touching it would change something.
His heart is still racing. Did she just… offer him something? What exactly did she mean?
The café is still busy, but he feels like everything has gone quiet around him.
He hesitates before slipping the card into his pocket and getting back to work.
But no matter how hard he tries, Y/n’s words linger in his mind.

*Later that Night – Jungkook’s Apartment*
Jungkook sits at his small desk, his books open in front of him, but his eyes keep drifting toward his phone.
The business card sits next to it, taunting him.
Kookie
(thinking): What does she even want from me? A job? A… favor? No. That doesn’t make sense.
He leans back with a sigh, running a hand through his hair.
His roommate, Taehyung, glances over from his bed.
Taehyung
Dude, you’ve been zoning out for like an hour. What’s up?
Kookie
Nothing. Just… thinking.
Taehyung
(grinning): Thinking about a girl?
Jungkook tenses, and Taehyung’s grin widens.
Taehyung
Oh, so I’m right. Spill.
Kookie
It’s not like that. She’s… different.
Taehyung
(raising an eyebrow): Different how?
Jungkook hesitates before holding up the business card. Taehyung leans over, reading it.
Taehyung
CEO, huh? Damn. She must be loaded.
Kookie
She is. But that’s not the point.
Kookie
She gave me this and said if I ever wanted something ‘different,’ I should call her.
Taehyung
(smirking): And you’re overthinking it because…?
Kookie
Because I don’t know what ‘different’ means! Is it a job offer? Some kind of deal?
Taehyung
(shrugging): Only one way to find out. Call her.
Jungkook chews on his lip, staring at his phone. His gut twists with uncertainty.
He’s not sure if this is a good idea, but a part of him—the part that’s tired of struggling—wants to know what Y/n really meant.
Jungkook is on his lunch break, sitting outside the campus café, when his phone vibrates.
He frowns at the unknown number flashing on the screen. Hesitant, he picks up.
Y/n
(smoothly): Took you long enough.
Jungkook nearly drops his phone.
Kookie
Wait… how did you get my number?
Y/n
I have my ways. Let’s just say I don’t like waiting.
Kookie
(blinking in disbelief): You—You had someone find my number?
Y/n
I prefer to call it ‘being resourceful.’
Jungkook runs a hand through his hair, feeling both impressed and a little uneasy.
Kookie
Uh… okay. So, why did you call?
Y/n
To make things easier for you. You’ve been thinking about my offer, haven’t you?
Jungkook exhales. Of course, she knows.
Y/n
(chuckling): I like honesty. Meet me tonight. 8 PM. I’ll send you the address.
Kookie
(hesitant): Meet you for what?
Y/n
To discuss your future, of course.
Before Jungkook can ask more, the call ends.
He stares at his phone, his heart pounding. What exactly is he getting himself into?
