Episode 4

Next day, Lily was excited for school.

First, because she wanted to see Samuel. She was interested in him but she wasn't sure whether it was a love interest or a guinea pig interest (using Samuel as an experiment animal to see if he acts like a manga guy). Second, because she wanted to see if Samuel will apologize to her.

She came into class, ready to do the walk till her seat and make sure Samuel would notice her but to her utter disappointment, Samuel hadn't even come to school yet.

So she dragged herself to her seat instead of doing a high-profile, runway show catwalk which she was originally planning.

Why do I even care? Lily asked herself. I'm just wasting too much energy on a person. Life is not a manga for all Gods' sakes!

Just then Samuel walked in and Lily forgot all her resolve made the second ago.

She looked at him as if any Tom, **** or Harry is entering the class. And bazinga, he looked at her. Their eyes met and she quickly looked down at her book.

Lily started all the integration, multiplication and calculus in her head to find out if it meant he was interested in her.

So I am not sitting anywhere where anybody walking in the class walking in would just see me unless you are specifically looking for me... Omg.. Lily looked up to see Samuel's back as he sat at his desk in the front. So being cold really worked huh, she smirked.

"Stop smiling to yourself!" Caitlyn hit her with a rolled up magazine.

Will he come and apologize? That's a bit too manga-ish I guess, Lily thought even though she had run the scene of Samuel apologizing to her at least 37 times in her head.

She was probably genuinely expecting it, so when class got over, she slowed down the packing of her bag and let the other students leave first so that Samuel could come up to her and talk to her if he was feeling shy because of all the students.

Samuel just packed and left quickly.

Ugh I was really expecting it! What is wrong with me! Lily felt so embarrassed in her head.

Next time when it was time for cleaning, Samuel was before time.

"Sorry for last time" he said before he started his work.

Damn it! That one apology is breaking my resolve! Lily grit her teeth in her head.

She looked at him, trying to keep her face straight and said, "It's alright. Let's finish our work quickly."

Inside her head she was so pleased that Samuel apologized, so he wasn't a cold guy after all.

Hah, now I am going to be the savior female lead who will bring the prince out of the trauma of his unhappy past and ta da, he will fall in love with me! Lily giggled to herself.

"I think the board's clean enough" Samuel said. Lily realised she has been cleaning an already clean board while thinking about her female lead roles. "Yeah... you're right," she said. Inside her head she was like Why am I always daydreaming?!

The rest of the cleaning session passed in silence.

He really does not talk at all, Lily sighed.

Shall I look desperate if I make small talk with him? No! Not at all. I'll just pretend he is a girl and talk to him like I would talk to anyone else.

And so it was time for the small talk.
