Episode 5 Discovery of talents

They bidded Auntie Suzy goodbye, even though her departure grin was giving Jim creeps. Jeony brought him up to the streets and was leading him somewhere. People in their sphere like moving vehicles were giving him and Jeony stares and weird looks. Jim became very self conscious and thought maybe there was something weird about him. He checked his attire, which was still his work clothes, his pants were zipped and there were no holes on them.

"Jeony, why are people looking at me weirdly?"

" Maybe because a humanoid is walking around and your blue and red eyes?"

He ran to the nearest sphere and stared at his reflection. God, his left eye was red and his right eye was blue. His eyes in the normal world was just black.

" That is a sign of someone awakened from the other world, making others fear you"

" Then what did you mean when you say a humanoid walking around"

" The only time humanoids are active is when either the elders of Monarch leave their main building, or as guides of the awakened. So we are hardly seen at any given point in time."

" How do people even know you are a humanoid?"

" Usually the flawless complexity and this"

Jeony pointed at her very obvious numbertag.

" Welcome, the Great One, to this institute of education, the Monarch test and training facility"

There was a guy floating several metres above ground in front of a gigantic building. He started his descent and gracefully landed in front of Jim.

" Hi, my name is Albert. Albert Einstein. Principal of this very facility behind me"

"Waitttt, YOU ARE the ACTUAL einstein? The one who came up with the famous e=mc^2 equation?"

" Yep, right in the flesh, but in your world i am probably dead, with my brain still being dissected to this very moment. I have the ability of flight as well as super intelligence. Thats probably about it. "

" What you mean that probably about it?? Those skills are like talents i would die for. But i thought if you die in my world, you will die here as well. "

" It depends on which world you are from and which world you are killed or dead in. If it is not your origin world like in my case, then you will continue to live in your origin world. "

Jim nodded his head lightly and under Albert's lead, they entered the building. The building had state of the art technology everywhere, everything was automatic, from the cafe operators to the cleaning machines. He brought them to a huge lift and after scanning his card, a few floor buttons appeared out of nowhere. He pressed the button SB1 and the lift went down quickly. In no time, they reached the floor. The floor was brightly lit with multiple equipments all over the place neatly.

" Please lie down here and rest. At the same time, i believe your coin is beginning to become redder and hotter. That is a sign you need to return back to your own world already"

Jim felt the coin burning in his pocket and took a sleeping posture on the bed before drifting to sleep.

Same bright light, and alarm ringing. The transition process was becoming smoother and like a second nature. Jim hopped out of bed and scrambled for work. He packed everything and went to brush his teeth. It seemed like the water from the water tap today was flowing slower, need to complain to the landlord when he comes back home later. He rushed out and ran to work. To his surprise, there was no one on the streets, when it should normally be bustling with people everywhere. In no time, he reached the office and as soon as he settled down, he saw the wall clock. He was 2 hour earlier than normal timing. How was that even possible? He felt like he spent 14 to around 16 hours in the other world. And he was early??

" What the heck are you doing so early in the morning?"

Jim was shocked and turned around, finding for the source of the sound.

Hyun was peeping over from the other side of the cubicle, with a blanket wrapped around him.

" Omg, you slept here?? I thought you were staying at your girlfriend's place? "

" She kinda left me, then kicked me out of the house. Said she found a better guy. And by better, she just meant richer. So yep, living in the office for now"

" You wanna crash my place instead? Besides, how the heck do you know that i came in, i usually come in pretty quietly so that boss wont know im late"

" Dude, you literally whooshed into the office, there was a sudden huge breeze. Is it really windy outside?"

" We are in a building, where does wind even come from"

" I dont know, lemme check if there were ghosts on the cctv, if there are any in this office, im out of here at night"

Hyun pulled out the cctv file from the office security drive (illegally) and began scouring for any hints of ghosts.

" Hey bro, erm around what time did you come into the office?"

" Around 5 mins ago"

Jim couldnt care much as he prepared his computer for work. He had to rush yesterday's project as well. To wake himself up, he wanted to get himself a cup of coffee. Wanting to ask if Hyun wanted any, he saw him staring very intensely at his monitor screen. Never mind him, time to look for coins. As he patted his pants, he felt something familiar in the pocket. The Coin. He took out the coin from his pocket and flipped to the back of it.
