Episode 4 A New World

" How are you feeling? You should be able to run and feel as if you are in your normal world already"

After at least a few hours of chat, Jim had a basic knowledge of this world. He walked and jumped around and there was no difference as compared to the real world.

" I will bring you out now, please follow me"

Honestly speaking, Jim was getting sick of this plain white place and cant wait to venture out to see this new world. He followed closely to Jeony. She walked through the white walls and from the other side of the wall, said

"it's safe, just walk through it"

Jim tested the walls by touching the white membrane and proceeded to walk though it. What greeted him was like a highly advanced New York.

" Is this New York? And why does it feel so much more advanced? All the banners and hovering cars"

It felt like a normal morning in New York, with the light breeze blowing over and the warm sunlight shining down on him. However, the streets were filled with cars that did not have wheels, and all were a few inches above the ground. No one was walking on the streets but rather there were many circular balls moving about with individuals or group of people in them.

Jim looked around and when he looked up, he saw around ten roads above him, one over another, bustling with vehicles.

Something even more surprising was that, there were only glass elevators, with commercial banners all around him.

" Where are all the skyscrapers?? "

" Oh, all of them are built downwards, the city has expanded downwards due to some... Unforseen circumstamces"

Jim was still taking his time to take it in, the air here smells so much better than in the real world. A flicker of light blinded him momentarily.

"Whats those things over there?"

" Those are solar panels supporting the underground lifestyle"

" All of it?"

" Yep 80 % of the earth surface is covered by solar panels"

Jeony brought Jim to a glass elevator and pressed level B20 with an annotation at the side

"Registration of awakened citizens"

When they reached the floor, the place felt a little out of place as compared to the very high technology environment. The floor felt abit old and out of touch.

" Humanoid 1707 contacting head of office"

A hologram walked out and greeted them.

" Hi I'm JooHyuk, head of this office. I am currently overseas. How may i help you?"

" Lee Jim is an Awaken. I am here to help him register"

An expression of shock and anger flickered past his face, before turning back to the friendly and helpful face.

Jim assumed he must have seen it wrongly and brushed it off lightly.

" Please follow Auntie Suzy who is probably sleeping at that cubicle, she will assist you"

JooHyuk bowed and said in a respectful tone.

"Have a nice day, and i welcome you to this world, the Great One"

Right after JooHyuk hologram disappeared, Jim looked puzzled and asked

" Hey Jeony, what did he mean by the great one?"

After standing there and listening to Jeony's explanations, Jim had a better understanding. It is not common AT ALL to have a human that comes to realisation the presence of the other world. Out of the 1707 people that awakened, only 1 person other than Jim came from his world. The other 1705 people came to realisation in this world. That 1 person is none other than Adolf Hitler, single handedly created so much trouble in the world, resulting in the deaths of 85 million people. People in this world were afraid of him as in this world, he caused a coup against the Monarch so huge that wiped out the same number of people in WW2. He was also one of the few being in the Alpha tier, the highest tier when it comes to categorising talents.

Thus many feared and respect awaken ones from the other side.

" Hmmm, that means people would have a bad impression of me even before i begin, never mind that, time to find Auntie Suzy"

Jeony and Jim walked towards a deserted corner of the office, to find an old lady sleeping on an office table.

"Erm, Auntie Suzy?"

The old woman was stirred up from her sleep and stood up, staring at Jim emotionlessly from head to toe.

Her eyes were simply white and she looked as if she was blind. As if knowing the doubts in Jim's head, Jeony said

" She has a very rare talent known as a Seer. She is able to see where you are from as well as sometimes glimpses of the future"

All of a sudden, she chucked loudly

" You are finally here. Took you long enough."

Puzzled, Jim started to think if she was in anyway related to him or knew him in someway.

" Is alright, you will know soon"

Auntie Suzy somehow knew what he was thinking and replied him. She then pulled his hand towards a computer and registered him in the registry of citizens.

" Do u have the coin with you?"

Jim suddenly remembered the coin he had and that he placed it in his pocket in the other world.

He patted his pants and found the coin in his pants.

" You can bring things when u move from world to world??"

" Of course, as long as you are in contact with the object and it is not heavier than your body weight"

"Awesomeee"

He took out the coin and gave the coin to Auntie Suzy.

"I have updated the coin, now your status will be automatically updated on the coin and no matter how u throw or lose it, you will found it in your pocket."

The technology in this world is simply amazing, Jim thought to himself.

" Now Jeony will bring you to test your abilities and talents"
