The First Time I saw Him

I was standing outside our house waiting for my grandfather to arrive because he would take me to school. His job is to take students from Winter Academy and Spring Academy from their home to school and back. Actually I and my sister are the ones who should be waiting for him today but unfortunately, she got sick so I'm alone.

I gently kicked the rocks at my feet when my grandfather's bus stopped.

Unlike other yellow buses, the bus that delivers us is light blue with dark blue lining and on either side are the two shools that are allowed on riding it.

I quickly hopped in the bus and sit myself still at the very first row. At the back off the driver. Before I enter the bus there where noises but now all I can here is the air-conditioning blowing cold air. The aura is always like this whenever I enter this school bus. I don't know what happened to them or they are just not talkative.

"Where's Hanna?" Asked grandpa looking out house through the window.

"She's sick Grandpa. Fever last night." I tried to explain to him even though I don't like to talk much specially when I'm here.

Grandpa nodes and drive. I was looking outside the window when the bus stops. I look at the door of the bus confuse. I was the last stop of the bus but now I think there's new student.

A boy wearing the blue uniform of Winter Academy entered the bus and sat next to me. I was stunned for a moment because no one, as in, no one ever tried to sat next to me, just now. No one dares to sit next to me. But why is the reason he sat next to me? Didn't he notice me? Doesn't he know he has someone next to him like me?

He leaned his head on the chair and closed his eyes. The bus started moving and I was still staring at him. My mouth is gaping and its unbelievable. Surely, he didn't notice me. If he had noticed me earlier he would have moved to the other seat. But no! He didn't even budge.

He was wearing a white earbuds on his ears. And even though I was ten inches far from him I can here the song he was playing. It's Perfect by Ed Sheeran. Hmm I love Ed Sheeran.

Still!!

He can't seat next to me!

Pouting a bit I look at him. He has a fair skin and a messy look hairstyle. It's like he just woke up from a very nice sleep but suddenly got interrupted by someone. I looked at his nameplate. Hmm U.E. Salazar... I slightly move a little bit further from him.

"Isn't he the boyfriend of Sarah?" I heard someone talking at the back of our seat.

"I'm not sure about it. I didn't see his face clearly." Said the other woman.

Boyfriend of Sarah? What the fudge? I should really keep my distance. I almost glued myself on the bus's window just to not touch him.

"Do I have a virus and your staying away from me?" He suddenly talked.

And that makes me jump for a bit. Shocked! I look at him. He's eyes still close. Who is he talking to? I just look at him and continue to glued myself on the windows side. I will not assume and I will not think that he is talking to me. He might be talking to the one on the other seat or two girls at the back.

He opened he's eyes suddenly and looked at me irritatingly. He's brows creased and annoyance is evident on his face.

W-what?! Me giving him the expression.

He stared at me for a few seconds??? Minute?? Before he's hole his head and continue to take his nap. I sigh exasperatedly when he close his eyes but then I think he heard my sigh and looked at me. Now he's a bit angry.

What the hell? Why is he making me jumpy?

"Do you know me?" He asked me. Yes me! Me!

"N----no!" I answered a bit loud. Ahhh I think I shouted my answer because now I can feel the others students gaze at me.

I'm doomed!

"Then why are you acting like I was carrying a virus?" The guy beside me asked not noticing the piercing eyes looking at our way.

"I---I'm sorry!" I closed my eyes and look at the trees we passed by.

"Your weird you know that?" I heard him say.

I felt hurt because of what he said. Yeah I'm weird...

What can I do? I stammer every time I talk to someone not close to me. I imagine someone will mess with me and bully me. That's why as much as possible I don't want anyone noticing me. I always take this seat because no one sits here and I was the last student the bus will picked up. But then my situation changed in just a day.

Someone sit next to me. Someone talks to me. And everybody's looking at me. EVERYBODY!

"Who is that sitting next to him?" I heard someone asked.

"I think her name was Cassandra or something. I'm not sure."

"Yes,she's Cassandra Lana Ferrer Lopez. And the driver is her grandfather."

"Oh.."

No. No. This can't be! They are now talking about me. This is all his fault. I glared at the man sitting next to me. If this man didn't take the sit next to me my life is still peaceful. But hell! I wanna poke him in the eyes with my fingers!

I glance away when he looked my way. Will never make myself be caught by this man. I squeezed myself on the side and look at nothing but the green grass we are passing by.
