Episode 10 - The Chance

Sabrina's POV

I can't believe I'm with Tomlin.

It's late, Tomlin should go home. I glanced at the window and the rain was heavy. We didn't even notice that it was raining. We're busy talking about our lives. I don't want him to go home. I want him to stay with me. Just the two of us here. I wish the time will stop. Maybe......

"Can I stay here tonight? The rain is heavy" he suggested.

"Hmmm. Yeah. Sure" I said.

"I'm afraid your Dad will kill me. Anyway, I will just sleep here in the sofa" He said.

"No. You sleep with me" I accidentally blurted out.

"Pardon? Sleep with whom? I would love that.... So..." He whimpered. It tickled my ears.

"I mean you can use the guest room if you want" I hurriedly said.

"Oh sure. Thanks" he said.

I showed him the guest room. It's been a long time, no one slept here. I remember, Evans, my cousin from abroad, he was the last one who slept in this room. He left some of his stuffs here. I told him to take a shower and change his clothes. He will be uncomfortable sleeping with his outfit. I also told him that there were extra shirts available in the cabinet. He just agreed.

He said, "Thank you for this"

"It's not a big deal" I replied.

After he took a shower and changed his clothes, I knocked on the door to check on him.

"Everything's fine?" I asked.

"Fine" he answered.

He looks sexy and hot with just wearing a T-shirt and boxer shorts! His dark brown hair, thick eyebrows, pointed nose, and brown eyes, makes him more hottier. This man can turn my stomach upside down.

He changed a lot.

As I shut the door he hurriedly opened it.

I was in a state of confusion, I was shocked when he pulled and hugged me tightly.

"I can't breath, what are you doing Tomlin? Are you crazy?" I uncomfortably said.

Then he immediately said "No, I am not. I really want to talk you about us, I lied, I wasn't busy in studying, not even betrayed you, I didn't and will never. I'm sorry! I didn't want you to think that way all these years"

And then I replied, "What do mean? You lied? I don't understand!"

He started to explain everything to me.

"The reason why I lied to you was because I dont want to burden and make you worry about me, it will affect your studies. I needed to work in the evening while studying during the day. I worked as part time in a fast food chain for 4 hours after school to provide for myself.

I was very busy and needed to prioritize many things that left you behind without realizing that I might lose you. Dad's company has been bankrupt. He offended a Billionaire by deceiving, lying, he wasted all the money in gambling, and that caused his company to goes down until it became bankrupt. Not only that, Dad has many debts to pay. What was left to our family was my Mom's small businessbin City A. I'm sorry for not telling you. Look, I can't force you to believe me but I hope you do. I never dated anyone. You.... You are always on my mind and in my heart. You have been my inspiration why I overcome the hardships in life, I worked hard to be in this state and I promised to myself that when everything's fine and stable, I will come back again and never let you go. I couldn't afford to lose you."

He explained everything making sure that no details have been missed out. I can't believe what I've heard!

All my unanswered questions were all gone.

My tears uncontrollably fell.
