Aoki: (waking up, breathless) They're back... the shadows, the eyes.

Yume: (in her dream, struggling) No... not again! Why does it feel stronger?

The ground beneath her feet shifts, and she’s pulled further into the depths of the dark world.

Yume: (looking up, startled) Wait—who’s that?

Aoki: (spotting Yume in the distance) Is that... another person?

---

Yume: (nervously) You... you’re not one of them. Who are you?

---

Aoki: (hesitant) I’m Aoki. I’ve been trapped in this nightmare for months. But you... how are you here?

---

Yume: (shaking her head) I don’t know. I’ve been having these nightmares my whole life.

---

The shadows shift violently. The creatures emerge, their glowing red eyes fixed on the pair.

Creatures: You cannot escape the curse.

---

Aoki: (stepping protectively in front of Yume) Curse? What curse?

Creatures: (hissing) You are Dreambound. Two souls tied to the nightmare, meant to guard the gateway between realms. Your bond is both your strength and your doom.

Yume: (terrified) Dreambound? This can’t be real.

Aoki: (gritting his teeth) If it’s real, then we’ll break it. Together.

The creatures lunge, but the air around Aoki and Yume glows faintly as their connection strengthens. For the first time, the shadows hesitate.

Creatures: Aoki... Yume...

Aoki: (sitting upright) Who’s Yume?

Yume: (eyes widening) Who’s Aoki?

Aoki: (waking in the nightmare realm, breathing heavily) Not again... He glances around the dark, twisted landscape, feeling the weight of the looming terror. But this time, something’s different.

The ground trembles, and a massive creature with clawed arms emerges from the shadows, its glowing red eyes locking onto them.

Aoki: (grabbing her arm) We need to move—

Yume: (yanking her arm away) I can’t—this... this can’t be happening. It’s too much!

The creature roars, its claws slashing the air between them. Yume’s legs shake, but something inside her stirs—she can’t run anymore.

Aoki: (grabbing her hand, pulling her back) I’m not letting you go. We have to fight. Together.

---

Yume hesitates, looking into his eyes, the connection between them undeniable.

Yume: (swallowing her fear) Together...

They turn to face the creature, standing shoulder to shoulder. As it charges, they fight back—Aoki using everything he has to protect them both, Yume summoning a strength she didn’t know she had.

Yume: (nodding, voice trembling) But we’re doing it. Together.

The creature falters, then collapses into the swirling fog. The nightmare falls silent for a moment, both of them breathing heavily in shock.

Aoki: (looking at her, realization dawning) We’re connected... somehow. We always have been.

Yume: (softly, her voice filled with wonder) I thought I was alone in this... but now... now I know I’m not.

---

They share a silent moment, understanding something deeper between them. The nightmare still looms, but they’ve found something they never expected: hope.

Aoki: (looking into the darkness) It’s not over. The shadows will return, but now we know we’re not alone. We’ve got each other.

---

Yume: (nodding, her voice steady) We fight together. Whatever this curse is... we’ll break it. Together.

---

Aoki: (smiling slightly) Together. No matter how dark it gets.

---

The shadows stir again, but this time, Aoki and Yume stand stronger, united against the nightmare that binds them.
