The Library of Love
Amira loved spending her afternoons in the quiet library tucked in the corner of her town. She adored the smell of old books, the sunlight streaming through the large windows & the endless story waiting to be discovered. But recently, something or someone had started catching her attention.
Every Tuesday, a boy around her age sat at the same table. His name was Kian, and he always seemed deeply engrossed in a book, scribbling notes furiously into a worn journal. One day, as she walked by she accidentally dropped her book. Before she could pick it up, Kian handed it to her with a shy smile.
"You like poetry?" he asked, nodding to her book. Amira blushed, "yes it's my favorite."
Kian hesitated for a moment before saying, "There's a poetry I have been writing....... would you like to read it?"
Surprised, she agreed. The next Tuesday, Kian handed her a folded piece of paper. It was a poem about a girl with a quiet laugh, sparkling eyes and a love for books. As she read it her heart raced. It was about her.
When she looked up, Kian was nervously watching her. "Do you like it?" he asked softly.
Amira smiled, her cheeks warm. "It's perfect!"
From then on, they shared stories, dreams and countless afternoons together. And just like in the books they loved, their story began in the most unexpected and magical way.
Amira & Kian's story bloomed like a slow-blooming flower. Their weekly library dates turned into long walks through the park,
coffee shop conversations & endless laughter. But as spring turned to summer, a bittersweet challenge arose Kian received an acceptance letter to study literature in a distant city.
One evening, as they sat under the fairy lights of a cozy cafe, Kian held her hand.
"I don't want to leave you." he confessed, his voice breaking. Amira smiled softly, though her heart ached. "you have to follow your dreams, Kian. We will make it work."
Kian promised to write to her every week, just like the letters he used to leave in the library. And so, he left and their story continued in the form of heartfelt letters filled with poems, sketches & dreams for their future.
Months passed, and though their distance was hard, their bond grew stronger. On their anniversary, Kian surprised her by returning to town. He brought her to the library where they first met.
"I wrote a new poem". He said nervously, handing her a folded piece of paper.
The poem spoke defying distance of the strength they found in each other and a future dreamed of- a future with her. At the bottom of the poem were four simple words: "Will You Marry Me?"
Tears filled Amira's eyes as she looked up at Kian, who was on his knee, holding a small velvet box.
"yes". she whispered, laughing and crying at the same time.
Their love story, which began in the quiet corner of a library, now promised a life.
