(The classroom. The teacher has just assigned a group project, and fate intervenes—Kabir and Isha are paired together. Isha’s friends Riya and Arjun are placed in a different group.)
Teacher (announcing):
"For this project, you’ll be working in pairs. I’ve already assigned the partners, so check the list on the board. The deadline is next Friday."
(Isha looks up and groans when she sees her name next to Kabir’s.)
Isha (to herself):
"Of course. Just my luck."
(Riya leans over, smirking.)
Riya (whispering):
"Looks like the universe really wants you two to bond."
Isha (rolling her eyes):
"Bond? More like survive without strangling him."
(Kabir glances over at her, catching her muttering. He approaches her desk, his expression unreadable.)
Kabir (calmly):
"We should figure out when to start the project."
Isha (snapping slightly):
"Do we have to? Can’t we just divide the work and do it separately?"
Kabir (crossing his arms):
"That’s not how group projects work. Unless you’re planning to fail."
(Isha glares at him, but she knows he’s right. She lets out a frustrated sigh.)
Isha (reluctantly):
"Fine. Library after school?"
Kabir (nodding):
"Works for me. Don’t be late."
(He walks away, leaving Isha fuming.)
(Later that day, in the school library.)
(Kabir is already seated at a table, his notes neatly spread out. Isha arrives a few minutes late, her bag slightly disorganized, and plops down across from him.)
Isha (casually):
"Sorry I’m late. Got held up."
Kabir (glancing at his watch):
"Five minutes late, actually."
Isha (irritated):
"Relax, Mr. Punctual. It’s not the end of the world."
(They begin working, but their differences quickly become apparent. Isha is brainstorming ideas, while Kabir focuses on structure and precision.)
Isha (excitedly):
"What if we make the presentation more creative? Maybe add some visuals and storytelling?"
Kabir (shaking his head):
"That’s unnecessary. We should stick to facts and analysis. Creativity isn’t the point."
Isha (challenging):
"Maybe not for you, but it’ll make our project stand out. Not everything has to be dull and robotic, you know."
(Kabir pauses, slightly taken aback by her comment. He looks at her, noticing her passion.)
Kabir (after a moment):
"Fine. Let’s hear your idea. But it better be good."
(Isha smiles triumphantly and begins sketching out her concept. As they work together, Kabir starts to see that Isha’s creative approach actually adds value, while Isha begrudgingly admits that Kabir’s structured thinking keeps things on track.)
(By the end of the session, their dynamic feels slightly less tense.)
Kabir (packing his things):
"Your idea wasn’t terrible. It might even work."
Isha (grinning):
"Wow, is that your version of a compliment? Careful, Kabir, or I might think you’re starting to like working with me."
Kabir (smirking faintly):
"Don’t push your luck."
(They part ways, both feeling unexpectedly intrigued by the other’s perspective.)

...Next scene...
...----------------...
(The school hallway the next morning. Isha arrives at school, juggling her bag, a coffee cup, and several papers. She looks slightly frazzled. Kabir is leaning against his locker, as calm and composed as ever.)
Isha (muttering to herself):
"Why does everything feel so rushed in the mornings?"
(As she walks past Kabir, a gust of wind blows some of her papers out of her hands. They scatter across the hallway.)
Isha (groaning):
"Oh, come on!"
(Kabir watches for a moment, sighs, and walks over. Without saying much, he starts picking up her papers.)
Isha (awkwardly):
"Uh... thanks, I guess."
Kabir (handing the papers back to her):
"Try not to lose those. Also..." (he pulls out a folded sheet of paper from his bag and hands it to her)
"These are the additional notes I worked on for the project. They include some strategies for our presentation. Don’t share them with anyone."
(Isha takes the paper, her eyebrows raising in surprise.)
Isha (skeptically):
"Don’t share? What are you, working on state secrets?"
Kabir (flatly):
"No, but if this gets around, someone else might use it. I’d rather not risk it."
(He adjusts his bag and walks off before Isha can say anything more. She unfolds the paper, scanning the detailed notes and strategies Kabir had written. Despite her annoyance with him, she can’t help but be impressed.)
(Later, in the café, Isha is sitting with Riya and Arjun. The café is bustling with students from their school. Isha places Kabir’s notes on the table as she talks.)
Riya (curious, peeking at the notes):
"What’s that? Did Kabir seriously give you his secret project strategy?"
Isha (shrugging):
"Yeah, but he made it sound like some top-secret operation. He was all, ‘Don’t share this with anyone.’"
Arjun (grinning):
"Well, it is pretty detailed. Looks like Kabir’s aiming for perfection again."
Isha (leaning back in her chair):
"Yeah, well, he can be as perfectionist as he wants. I’m not about to let him boss me around like he’s the only one who knows how to get an A."
(Unbeknownst to them, a pair of students at a nearby table overhears their conversation. One of them is a known competitor in the class and exchanges a sly look with their friend.)
kai (whispering):
"Did you hear that? Kabir’s got some special notes for their project. If we can get a look at those..."
karan (smirking):
"Could give us the edge we need. Let’s figure out a way to get them."
(Meanwhile, Isha and her friends remain oblivious, laughing and chatting as the opponents quietly slip out of the café.)
(The scene ends with Isha returning home, still thinking about how much effort Kabir had put into the notes. She tucks them safely into her bag, unaware of the brewing trouble.)
