Episode 1: The Beginning

I was only four when they caught me. My mother and I sat, patiently awaiting our turn at the doctors office. Patient left, some happy and some sad, some even terrified. Why? Because, this isn't just some ordinary check-up at the doctors office. This is, the power scan. Yes, The Power Scan. A scan where any child age 4 to 5 would be taken for. This scan would identify the future threat level the child would have. Anything between 1-4 would be consider fine and non-dangerous towards society. But anything between 5-10 are consider a threat,especial those with the a score of 10.  Apparently having a score of ten, is rare. Once Upon Time there were many those powerful enough to score a 10 but the government sniffed them out and sent them to a 'special place'. But now there is basically no one with a score that high.

That was until they found me.

That day, at the doctors office a scored a perfect ten. The shock on my mothers face, was more then enough to let me know that I was one of the unlucky ones. But the look on the doctors face is what told me that I was in trouble.

The Doctor asked us to stay in the room, while he made a quick phone. My mothers face paled, and she started to cry. I tried to ask her what I did wrong. Why she was crying so much. But all she did was shake her head and tell me that I didn't do anything wrong. That the world was wrong. That no matter what, I must listen to everything they say. And remember that she loves me.

Now its about 12 years later, and I'm living in a academy with 10 other like myself. Well, not exactly like myself. Everyone here score between 5-10. Well, no one scored a five, the lowest score here is 6.

Micah is the oldest of the lot. Being 20 years old, he's thought to our leader. A father figure to some, even a mom. He was flagged at a late age, being 10 when the caught him. He scored a 9 on the test.

Then there's Joshua or Josh as we call him. His only four months younger then Micah but thinks of himself as co-leader. He scored a  8 on the test

Sasha is the oldest girl. Being 19, she is definitely the oldest sister. Taking care when Micah and Josh can't. She score a perfect 8 on the test.

Niko and Phoenix are twins (18). both of them scored a only a 4 on the test individually but when their powers are combined, they scored a 8. Niko, being older by 5 minutes always make sure Phoenix knows it. Although if you look closely, at their abilities Phoenix is definitely better at controlling her powers then Niko.

Amelia is 18 just like Niko and Phoenix, but she is more of I.m all about myself person then any of us. Sending most of her time in the mirror then practising her powers. She scored a 6 on the test.

Marco is the only 17 year old here. And the coolest. You'll always see him with his head phones, just chilling. He's probably the smartest to. He has a really cool ability to.  He scored a 8.5 on his test

And then there's me. MacKenzie I'm 16 years old and the youngest of house. I'm more quiet then the rest, probably why I get along with Marco the best. And like you already know, I score a perfect 10.
