Chapter 3

Myeong came to Chung Ja's room. She opened the door and found Chung ja crying. "What is all this shouting, Chung, ja?" she blurted, the princess maid replied.

"Your Highness, the princess necklace was gone." What, the one that has a violet pendant?" said Myeong,

the maid nodded, and Myeong exclaimed to everyone in the palace, "Maids find the princess necklace, this instant."

The maids desperately find the necklace inside the palace,

A maid came into the room, and Myeong was hugging Chung ja to comfort her. The maid said to Myeong,

"Your Highness, unfortunately, we've been finding the necklace around the palace but no sign of the necklace."

"Have anyone noticed that someone got inside the palace?" said Myeong, the princess maid rubbing her fingers in nervousness.

"I have seen someone in the palace earlier this morning, I thought it is the new maid that you hired for the princess, your highness," explain the maid.

Myeong wanted to slap her, but she couldn't do it, she show her fist to her and angrily said,

"Really, I didn't hired some new maids, we could search it tomorrow" then Chung ja was already sleeping in the arms of Myeong, she put her head on the pillow and cover her with a blanket, she stood up,

and stoped at the princess maid position, the maid bent down of disgrace, Myeong looked at her like a tiger that it found her prey,

she left the room.

Hours have passed,

Myeong was waiting for the general to come, as she called him, the general was arrived,

"Your Highness, why did you call me?" asked the general,

Myeong drank tea and replied " I called you, the princess necklace was stolen by an intruder earlier this morning, you must find it in the kingdom, the necklace has a gold chain and a violet pendant."

The general nodded and said, "we will find it your highness. Tomorrow morning, we start to look for it." he was about to leave when he stopped.

"And if you found he or she, immidiately executed," said Myeong. "Yes, your highness," replied the general,

It was morning.

Moon Jae doesn't know the consequences she had done yesterday. She was happily walking by the market,

carrying the cloth with the necklace, that she will mortgage, she went to an orphanage where she used to live, the owner of the orphanage saw her and smiled brightly and ran toward her.

"Moon Jae," she exclamed, then she hugged Moon Jae tightly,

"How are you, It's nice you visit the orphanage again," said the owner, Moon Jae smiled. "Nothing has changed since we left here," she said

"There are many orphans here. The children that were leaving here increase," said the owner, then a cute little girl came to them

"Auntie, when will my family get me?"said the little, the owner kneed down and struck her and replied,"They will be here any hour."

"Cute, what's your name?" asked Moon Jae." I'm Seol ah, " said the little girl. "Hello, Seol ah, I'm Auntie Moon Jae."Hello, Auntie," said the little girl and waved goodbye to them.

"She's cute and lucky for her. She found her family," said Moon Jae. She started to remember the past,

where she waited for her dream family, but each family visited the orphanage, always rejected her and the age of 18, the owner forcely,

outcast her the orphanage with Su ho, the owner pat her shoulder and said "It's okay, past is past okay, I should go the family of Seol ah is here" Moon Jae nodded and the owner left.

She looked at the orphange the last time and left. She was looking for a stall that mortgage jewerly, then she went to a stall the sold jewerly,

as she waited for her turn, she looked at the jewelery, then the vendor saw her and said

"What do you want, young lady?" Moon Jae looked at him and brought out the necklace that was wrapped with cloth,

"I wanted to mortgage it," said Moon Jae while giving him the clothe "sure, sure we pawn many jewelry here, wait a second, okay?" said the vendor.

The vendor took out the necklace and he put his eyeglass to test the necklace, then he went to Moon Jae with surprise in his eyes,

"I haven't seen a necklace that it chain is made by pure gold and the violet pendant is made with pure diamond," ploclaimed the vendor. He went to the table to pay her.

"Here, young lady, my payment for your pawn necklace," said the vendor, Moon Jae happily took it, and then,

the soldiers of the palace came to the market, and the general found the necklace that had a gold chain and a violet pendant. He went to the stole, and the other soldiers followed him.

"The necklace is here," said the general. The vendor heard him and came closer to him. "ohhh... you meant the necklace, It's a high price.... auhhh..." said the vendor, he swallowed,

his saliva with nervousness, as the general grab his clothe "are you the one who stole this?" asked the general,

the vendor shook his head and saw the girl and he pointed "nooo.... mister that girl, over there, she just pawned me the necklace" nervously proclaimed the vendor,

the general let go and he chased her and he shouted as he came closer to her "Hey, you thief."

Moon Jae turned and saw a man running towards her and "Come here you will punish on rubbing the princess necklace" he exlaimed,

Moon Jae started to run on the other direction, the general stoped and catch his breath and the other soldier, stoped at his position, "Chase her, don't stop until she is catch" ordered the general and the soldiers command,

they chased her around the kingdom, and Moon Jae stopped when she noticed she is out of sight, she stoped by a river,

as she was tired and exhausted from running, she decided to drink water from rier

She kneed down and began to drink water,

"You're being punished to stole the princess necklace," said the general while he pointed her the weapon to her.

She looked at the weapon that pointed by her neck and she immediately took it by the soldiers,

they put her inside the jail, and Moon Jae patiently waited for execution,

the news started to spread all over the kingdom, Su ho who were in the market to buy goods,

then someone gave her a paper that had a drawing in it and he opened mouthed as he was surprised,

when he recognised the picture, it was Moon Jae. "The secret fast has been caught and will be executed," shouted someone,

"Finally the thief is been caught, we're not going to be worried about our money, we're safe." Gossip someone, Su ho ripped the paper.

At the kim palace, Chung ja was at the cottage by the river side. She was peacefully listening to the traditional music and while sipping tea,

her maid came to her and gave her the princess the necklace, then she whispered to her,

"Princess, the thief was caught and the soldiers bring back your necklace. She was also trying to mortgage your necklace at the market. Later, she will be executed."

"Thank you for giving back my necklace," grateful said the princess, the maid nodded and left.

Chung ja was sipping tea, then she was thinking about an idea that popped in her head,

then the musician accidentally cut the string, Chung ja looked at her with furious eyes and her eyebrowns frowned.

"Sorry,princess," said the musician bending her head, Chung ja looked away and started to think deeply.
