Princess Elara had become Augustus’s queen, and their love became the talk of the entire empire. But the powerful officials in the empire struggled to accept that their king had abandoned war for the sake of a single woman. They began to put pressure on the king, urging him to conquer the world, with Europe being the final step in his reign. However, the king... The king would not yield to their demands. He didn’t want to be separated from his queen, but little did anyone know, the beast within him was about to awaken once again. When danger threatened his queen, that beast would unleash destruction.
And so it happened. Europe saw Augustus’s vulnerability and targeted Queen Elara, hoping to weaken the king. But they didn’t know what they had set in motion. Augustus, furious and determined, began preparing for war. His quiet resolve shattered, and once more, he would fight—not for conquest—but to protect the woman he loved.
But what the king didn’t know was that in love, the heart of the lover is fragile... and it is often shattered.
The queen betrayed the king.
Before the king could leave her and head to war, the queen took the sword in her hand and, before everyone, pierced the king's heart-laying his love and his life to rest.
The man who had taken countless lives was now counting his final breaths. King Augustus looked toward his queen, and before his soldiers could reach her, he stopped them with a single command. With his last ounce of strength, he extended his hand one final time, reaching out to Queen Elara.
In Queen Elara’s eyes, Augustus saw a deep longing, a pain that mirrored his own. Slowly, Queen Elara crumbled, breaking down in grief, her tears flowing freely. But Augustus, even in his dying moments, could not bear to see her cry. In a final act of love, he pulled her into his arms, holding her close, as if to shield her from the heartbreak that now consumed them both.
And with that, the king took his final breath in the arms of his queen, his life slipping away as he held her close.
The people of the kingdom looked at the queen with hatred. The love they had once revered and used as an example had now shattered, and with it, their trust in her had crumbled.
But Queen Elara didn’t even glance at the people. Her gaze was fixed solely on Augustus, whose lifeless body lay beside her. She pulled the sword from the king’s chest and, with cold resolve, ordered her soldiers to remove the heart of Emperor Augustus, the one thing that had once beaten for her.
The people looked at the queen with nothing but hatred, but following her orders was their duty. The soldiers approached, tore open Augustus's chest, and placed his heart at the queen's feet. Queen Elara picked it up with trembling hands, and once again, she broke down in despair, weeping with all her heart for the man she had loved and lost.
Once again, the queen ordered her soldiers to burn King Augustus's body right there. The soldiers, without question, obeyed her command, and soon the flames began to consume Augustus's lifeless form in front of the entire empire. But what happened next was beyond anyone's understanding. The queen held Augustus's heart to her chest, and without a second thought, she sat beside his burning body. She embraced the scorching flames, holding onto the remains of the man she had loved. Not a word escaped anyone's lips-this sight was so harrowing that it could break the heart of even the hardest soul.
Then, the queen’s voice echoed for the last time : "We will embrace the circle of two lovers... Once love, you become, and I will become your death... Once, you become the flame, and I will burn like the moth.")
