[As the male nurses prepared to enter with a syringe in hand, Eve stood behind them, masking her tension. She needed time—just a little more—for the drug she slipped into the food to take effect. She subtly positioned herself to delay them, searching for an excuse to hold them back.]
Eve (Female lead)
I guess it’s been a rough day. A patient suddenly punched someone, causing chaos in the hallway.
[One of the nurses paused, glancing back at her.] Yeah, the place's been chaotic today. [He sighed, rubbing his temple.] But we need to get Daniel cleaned up. He's been unresponsive for a while. We can't leave him like this.
Eve (Female lead)
Is that... Lorazepam? [she asked, her voice laced with uncertainty as she eyed the syringe.]
Nurse: No... It's Methylphenidate. We’re starting with this today. [The nurse's tone was calm, as if explaining something routine.]
