Abnormal day for the average girl

Just as I expected, the vending machine is still broken..

Avery then walks away from the vending machine in frustration. Right when she took a step back into the classroom, an unpleasant feeling came over her. She looked around trying to find the reason she didn't feel right. And then, right at that moment...

"Avery, hey!"

There it was, the reason why she was feeling unpleasant.

"*O*h, hey Kacy.."

Avery said bluntly. She didn't hate, or like Kacy. She just finds Kacy a bit self-centred.

Kacy was different from the others. She wasn't like a main character or a background character. She was like the protagonist in a story. In a game, she wins. In a competition, she wins. In drama, she gets to be the protagonist in the roleplay, just like the one she is. She also brags about how lucky she was. But that's not all. Bad stuff happen to her. But, not common bad stuff. She's usually selected as a target, usually attacked in an alleyway and all those other bad stuff you think would happen to a protagonist.

"Avery, guess what?"

Avery already knew what was coming but went along with it.

"What?"

Avery sounded sick and tired of everything as she said that.

"My basketball team won the finals!!"

Kacy's voice was filled with joy. She expected Avery to be suprised but instead, Avery let out a sarcastic

"wowww"

Avery wasn't suprised at all. She's used to Kacy talking about good stuff that happened to her and bad stuff. When Avery said "wow" in that sarcastic tone, Kacy started to get concered.

"Hey, are you ok?"

She looks at Avery with a face that a worried mother would make.

"Yeah, i'm fine."

Was all that Avery could say at the moment. She really wanted to be alone. She wanted peace and quiet. Soon something very unexpected happened.

"I'll leave you alone for now. Make sure you feel better, ok?"

And with that, Kacy walked away.

What..this has never happened before.

Avery was really confused.

Why did she do that? She would always stay here with me..

Then, the bell rang. Avery walked to class, still in confusion. Then, she accidently walked into a cute boy.

"ah, i'm so sorry!"

Avery looked up to see the boys face.

What the heck? He's such a beauty..

"No, i'm sorry. I should've been focusing on where I was going. I'm truly sorry."

He was a polite boy. But still, Avery is still confused on what happened with Kacy.

"I-It's fine.."

Then she walks off in confusion once again.

How did I run into a cute guy? That only happens to main characters in romance stories most of the time. Weird stuff are happening today.

She walked into the classroom and sat down. She put her head on the desk and started to go deep in thought. Without even knowing, the teacher has already started the lesson. Avery got snapped back into reality when she heard the teacher call her name.

"Avery, Can you please answer this question?"

*T*hat's strange. I'm usually not asked to answer a question. I don't even know the answer.

But then, the answer quickly flew out of her mouth.

"Well done Avery!"

The teacher was proud but, Avery wasn't. She was still confused, but scared at the same time.

I- I didn't even think about it. How was I able to answer it so quickly? And correctly too..
