We're trying to escape from Dr. Lee's lab. He's been experimenting on us and we're trying to get away."
Max's eyes widened in shock as he looked at us.
"You're one of them?"
He asked me curiously.
"One of who?"
Johnathan asked him warily.
"One of Dr. Lee's experiments."
He said, looking at us seriously.
"I've heard rumors about him. He's supposed to be working on some kind of super soldier project."
"That's right."
I said, nodding my head.
"He's been experimenting on us for months now. We've been trying to escape for weeks."
Max nodded sympathetically, then looked around us at the desert.
"I can help you."
He said, smiling slightly.
"I have a car hidden nearby. We can use it to escape."
"Really?"
Sarah asked him curiously.
"Yes."
He said, nodding his head.
Johnathan, Sarah, and I exchanged a skeptical glance.
We didn't know anything about this guy.
How could we trust him?
But as I looked around us at the desert, I knew we had no other choice.
Our pursuers were closing in fast and we had nowhere else to go.
"Okay."
I said, looking at Max seriously.
"We'll take your help. But if you're trying to trick us, you'll regret it."
Max smiled slightly, then nodded his head.
"I'm not trying to trick you."
He said, looking at me seriously.
"I just want to help. Follow me."
He said, gesturing towards the fence.
Johnathan, Sarah, and I exchanged a nervous glance, then followed Max around the fence to a hidden entrance.
As we entered the building, I felt a sense of unease wash over me.
The air inside was thick with an eerie silence and the dimly lit corridors seemed to stretch on forever.
What is this place?"
Sarah asked Max curiously as he led us deeper into the building.
"It's an abandoned research facility."
He said, looking around us at the walls.
"It's been closed for years now. But it's still fully functional. We can use it to escape."
I looked around us at the walls and saw that they were lined with old computers and laboratory equipment.
It looked like some kind of abandoned laboratory.
As we walked deeper into the building, I could feel the unease growing inside me.
I didn't like this one bit.
I looked at Johnathan and Sarah and saw that they were feeling the same way.
"What's wrong?"
Max asked me, looking at me seriously.
"I don't know."
I said, looking around us at the walls.
"It just feels weird."
Max nodded sympathetically, then looked around us at the walls.
"I know what you mean."
He said, smiling slightly.
"This place can be a little creepy. But it's safe. I've been living here for weeks now."
"Really?"
Sarah asked him curiously.
"Yes."
He said, nodding his head.

"I've been hiding out here from Dr. Lee's men. They're looking for me too."
"Who are you?"
Johnathan asked him warily.
"I'm a scientist."
He said, looking at us seriously.
"I used to work for Dr. Lee. But I realized what he was doing and I had to get out."
"What do you mean?"
I asked him curiously.
"He's not just experimenting on humans."
He said, looking at us seriously.
"He's experimenting on children too. He's trying to create some kind of super soldier."
I felt a wave of anger wash over me as I looked at Max.
"That's disgusting."
I said, clenching my fists in anger.
"I know."
Max said, looking at me seriously.
"That's why I had to get out. I couldn't let him continue what he was doing."
As we walked deeper into the building, we stumbled upon a small girl covered in blood.
She was sitting on the floor and staring blankly ahead of her.

"What's wrong with her?"
Sarah asked Max curiously.
"I don't know."
He said, looking at the girl seriously.
"I found her like this a few days ago. She's been sitting here ever since."
I looked at the girl and saw that she was shaking violently.
She looked like she was in shock.
Suddenly, she stood up and looked around us at the walls.
"Wait."
Max said, holding out his hand.
"Where are you going?"
The girl didn't say anything as she walked towards the wall.
She stopped in front of it and pressed a hidden button, revealing a secret door behind her.
"Wow."
Johnathan said, looking at the door in shock.
"I didn't know that was there."
The girl turned around and looked at us seriously.
"Come on."
She said, gesturing towards the door.
We exchanged a nervous glance, then followed the girl through the door.
As we walked down the corridor, I could feel the unease growing inside me.
I didn't like this one bit.
Suddenly, the girl stopped and looked at us seriously.
"Wait here."
She said, gesturing towards the wall.
"What's going on?"
Sarah asked her curiously.
"Just wait."
The girl said, then turned around and walked through a door at the end of the corridor.
We waited for what felt like hours before she returned.
"Come on."
She said, gesturing towards the door.
We exchanged a nervous glance, then followed her through it.
As we entered the room, we froze in shock.
There were two identical twin boys lying on the floor, their lifeless bodies covered in blood.
Suddenly, the twins sat up, their eyes glowing as they began to chant in unison.
"Who are you?"
Johnathan asked them warily.
The twins didn't say anything as they continued to chant.
"What's going on?"
Sarah asked Max curiously.
"I don't know."
He said, looking at the twins seriously.
"I've never seen them do this before."
As we watched, the twins stood up and began to walk towards us.
Their eyes were still glowing as they chanted in unison.
I felt a wave of fear wash over me as I looked at them.
"What do they want?"
I asked Max warily.
"I don't know."
He said, looking at them seriously.
"But I think we should get out of here."
The twins' chanting grew louder, and the walls began to tremble ominously around us.
Suddenly, the lights flickered and went out, plunging us into darkness.
"What's going on?"
Sarah asked, her voice shaking with fear.
"I don't know."
Max said, his voice trembling.
"But I think we should get out of here."
I heard footsteps echoing through the darkness as the twins walked towards us.
I felt a wave of fear wash over me as I realized that they were coming for us.
Suddenly, the lights flickered back on, and I saw that the twins were standing right in front of us.
They were still chanting in unison, their eyes glowing with an otherworldly light.
"What do you want?"
Johnathan asked them warily.
The twins didn't say anything as they reached out and grabbed Sarah.
"No!"
I shouted, trying to grab her back.
But it was too late.
