Smiling, while looking at the peach evening clouds, lost in my head somewhere, I was walking to my house.

In my memory, I really never had friends in this weird life of mine. But if I try to remember and count, I might count that one time in elementary school when a boy with glasses came to sit beside me and soon after I realized that it was because there were no seats left for him to sit. Or that time in seventh grade when a girl once said hello to me and my classmates warned her "There's no gain in hanging out with outcasts", so she avoided me every day after that day.

"Today is the day…", I opened my arms widely and shouted to the open field, that is some miles away from my house, "I finally have friends, Woo-hoo!!!".

"But I thought friends are just a bunch of annoying and headache inducing creatures, don't you agree? Blondie…", a voice came from behind and me lost in my happiness almost cracked "What the hell did you-…" and as I rotated to look who it was "… You?!!! Are you following me or what?"

"I bet I have better things to do in my life."

"Yet you choose to do the shitty one?" I asked with a sarcastic smile, and yes it was again none other than Alex graves, that dickhead.

"I am not so interested in explaining what I am doing here to you of all people so just think whatever you want!"

And all I was thinking about, at the moment, was to punch him in that proud face of his. "You don't get to pass comments on someone's achievement when all it is to you is a privilege", He looked at me with those fierce eyes of him for some seconds and walked away shrugging me off.

The feeling of love, my only love… My bed", I said as I laid down finally after a long day, and today I got to know that The Alex graves lives just a unit away from here, what can be worse than this, nothing, of course. Okay, I took 32 minutes in shower and I am late to the dinner, Ah! Shucks... I can already feel the stares, This is the worst.

"Uh- I, I'm sorry, I couldn't keep track of time", I said and I looked around to only get annoyed reactions from everyone except my grandfather, He is a genuine person, the only one in this family and Yes, He is one of my oldest friends. We're friends since I've born hehe… "It's alright, pal… We haven't started yet!", he exclaimed and I answered with a nod.

And the interview time of dinner just cherry on top. I will just stay quiet until I'm being questioned, just like always.

"How are the teachers at your new school? Don't cause us trouble again for god's sake… We're not always going to transfer you from school to school", and here we go again, I just stayed quiet and nodded to all the things my father said, there's no point in saying I was not wrong back then, because it will only turn into a lecture and I live to avoid that shit.

"Oh, stop it…", Grandpa finally talked over, "…Leave all this bullshit, Arlo, tell me about your day!", I couldn't help but smile, not only because someone at least want to know about my day but also because of the looks my mother and father giving to him for cursing, I learned it from him.

I told him everything that happened, he patted my head and what he said will always stick with me, "Life is better with friends, but Life is worth living for if your friends are worth dying for…", I nodded and gave him the biggest smile. He smiled too, but that smile took a turn and became a smirk as he asked "… And, any crushes, hm?", I turned red at his introspection, not because I had one but because I was embarrassed to being asked that damn question. "Wha- What? N- No!!!", I stuttered, and he laughed like he has heard the best joke ever. "I am tired, Bye!!!", I ran away to my room, jumped on my bed and slept before I could think of anything else.
