He changed the name of business from Chadwick to Cabel Enterprises.
This betrayal was extremely unexpected.
Fortunately Misty followed her daughters wish and didn't tell Jacob about why and when they were leaving the country and left just 10 minutes after fainting Kai otherwise there's no way they have survived the bombs.
merely 15 minutes after they left building went to pieces. Which was later described as a terrorist attack.
