EPILOGUE

"are you coming, baby? The cab is here"

"COMING, one minute"

Mahi come towards him as they both walk outside while mahi ask curiously before sitting inside the cab.

"where are we going though?"

"it is a surprise. Wait for it"

"you and your surprise" Mahi sighed as he look outside the window until a hand intertwine with his own making him look at virat who is smiling at him, so he also smiled back reassuringly.

Mahi look outside the window as he think to himself of his past three years with virat. It is quite amusing to think that he once he thought that they won't be able to work together but now here he is, going to celebrate their third anniversary together.

He still remembers the time when he took retirement from cricket and everyone become sad instantly though they did supported him unlike his own boyfriend who started crying like a baby while clinging to him..........still he can't say he don't love him cause he love virat too much to even deny it for a prank or surprise.

And the time when public caught them together.......God! did he thought they are both going get so much hatred but to their shock there was very less hatred and those who gave them instantly to a mind check by their fans making both him and virat smile at how nice their fans are.

And the family time was the best one when their family accepted them making both of them cry in happiness but still those were the moment which told them that they still have people in watching their watch so just go on.

Mahi can't help but tear at the fact that virat has never once given up on his promise as he remember all of phone calls virat give him when they were away from each other while he couldn't help to cry to some of the rare calls when virat shows him too much love that he himself thinks that he doesn't deserve virat but virat is always ready to sooth his insecurities.

If it would had been other situation, he would had said that it is a miracle but not in this since he clearly knows it is all because of Virat's efforts..........he knows it is his own too.......can't help but to think if it wouldn't had been virat then it would never had been mahi.

His heart clench painfully when he realises everytime that how much he loves virat that now even one missed call is enough to bring smile on his face-

"baby"

Mahi look beside him as a rough hand squeeze his own making him realise that they both reach their destination before he came out only to become wide eye by the view in front of him.



"cheeku.....what the......."

"let's go inside"

Mahi walk forward still in aww by the mansion in front of him while virat come behind as he talk which mahi listen while still watching the interior of the mansion.

"I saw this mansion months ago when I came with hardik. I thought we should get our own mansion now so" virat said before taking a deep breath and then continuing "we have completed our three years together but I am a greedy person and that's why I need you in my arms for my whole life............I want to spend my whole life with you"

Mahi listened to whole talk as he walk from room to the garden before feeling virat stop as he turn around only to find virat on one knees before he took a red box and then looking at mahi with a soft smile.

"Mahendra Singh Dhoni, will you give me the honor of spending my whole life with you?"

Is it weird if mahi say that right now he wants to cry suddenly? Though still controlling his tears, he breathe out.

"yes"

Virat gave a wide bright smile in return as he put the ring on mahi's finger before kissing his hand as he stand up only to hear shouting from behind him making turn around to look while mahi come beside him.

"CONGRATULATIONS 🎊"

"congratulations mahi bhai and Virat"

"congratulations to you both"

"congratulations and happy anniversary"

"yeah, happy anniversary too"

"Happy third anniversary to you both and congratulations"

"thanks kiddos, thank you very much"

Everyone smile in happiness as mahi thank them until their eyes caught a very blank face virat standing beside mahi as they all look at him curiously making virat complain with a deadpan look while they all burst of laughing.

"my last step missed because of you all"

"you can kiss him anytime Virat" Rohit said as they all nodded before going to eat together with mahi and virat behind them.

"it is so beautiful cheeku"

Mahi breathe out as he look at the pictures of their journey together hanging around the whole room making his heart flutter while his stomach filling with butterflies as if they have not eaten an hour ago before spending time with their team as they come back to their new house for mahi's surprise.

"I am glad you like it"

"this is so...........just........I am speechless."

Mahi murmered as he look at the last pic before again looking back at the starting where it was written 'start'  but not 'The End'. He look at virat curiously as virat gave him pen and then out his hand on the empty page beside the last picture.

"write - then we live happily ever after"

"this is-"

"our story cannot end........not now, not so soon, so happily ever after"

Mahi felt write it on the empty paper before he look at virat with teary eyes before walking towards him as he grab Virat's face while kissing him.

"thank you........thank you for coming in my life" Mahi whispered against his lips as virat put his forehead against him before saying another shocking thing.

"now there will be three people to write our life page...........if you want"

"huh? What do you mean?"

"I saw a four year old girl in adoption centre, if you-"

"yes!!"

Though mahi's sudden outburst should be shocking but it only made virat chuckle as lean forward to kiss mahi while thinking about how far they are going, more, together.
