The days passed as usual with Amelia and Ariana doing their respective works... Every evening they used to meet, eat and gossip to their hearts content
Ariana Dreak
sometimes I feel we were too much indulged with the boys
Ariana Dreak
You yourself is staying in Richard's house
Amelia Cissily
Not in same room though
The door creaked open, and Amelia looked up from the laptop she’d been working, surprised to see Richard leaning heavily against the frame. He looked exhausted, his skin pale, and his usually vibrant eyes dull.
Amelia Cissily
"Richard?" she stood up, concerned. “You look terrible
Richard James
I...I think I have a fever,” he murmured,
Without hesitation, she stepped toward him, placing a cool hand on his forehead. He was burning up.
Amelia Cissily
"You’re practically on fire. Come on, you need to lie down."
She led him to the bed, helping him out of his jacket and shoes, carefully guiding him down. He followed her movements with half-lidded eyes, his breaths shallow. When he shivered, Amelia quickly draped a blanket over him, though his eyes sought hers with an intensity that gave her pause.
She got up to get some medicines and water
Richard James
"Stay," he whispered,
Amelia Cissily
I need to get the medicines for you..... Bear with the pain for a while
As she gave him the medicines, he held her hand. She hesitated but took his hand and settled beside him, her concern overriding any shyness she felt. He wrapped his arms around her without thinking, pulling her close, as if she were the only source of warmth he could feel. The contact was intimate, her heartbeat racing as she let him settle into her arms, her hands instinctively brushing through his damp hair.
Richard James
He exhaled, his breath warm against her neck. "Amelia..." his voice was soft, almost a plea
Amelia Cissily
"Shh," she whispered, soothing him, though her own pulse quickened at the way he held her. She tried to keep her touch gentle, purely professional, but the look in his eyes stirred something between them.
Richard James
With his fevered gaze on hers, he lifted his hand to trace her cheek. "I missed you," he admitted.
Amelia Cissily
You went for only 3 days!
Richard James
"Still....."
hearing his confession, In a moment of hesitation, she brushed a kiss over his forehead, intending it to be calming. But when her lips touched his skin, he murmured her name again, this time with a need that sent a shiver down her spine.
She hesitated, but his hand drifted to her cheek, guiding her face toward him. Slowly, their lips met, the kiss soft at first, then growing deeper, full of longing. He pulled her closer, his fingers exploring her skin, each touch igniting sparks that left her breathless. She felt him press against her, seeking warmth, his fever seeming to heighten his desire.
Their movements became unrestrained, an intense exchange of kisses and caresses as their restraint faded. She settled into his embrace, her hands roaming his chest, feeling the strong beat of his heart beneath her touch. His feverish skin pressed against her, a contrast of heat and vulnerability that drew them further into each other.
As the night deepened, the world outside faded away, leaving only the warmth of their shared space. Richard's fever still lingered, but he held Amelia close, as though her presence alone could soothe the ache in his body. She stayed wrapped in his arms, her hands tracing gentle patterns across his chest, feeling his breaths deepen under her touch.
Richard James
He brushed a stray strand of hair from her face, his gaze holding hers with an intensity that made her feel vulnerable in a way she’d never felt before. "I...never knew what it’d be like to have you here like this," he murmured, his voice rough yet sincere. His fingers lingered on her skin, their touch almost reverent, as if he were memorizing every detail of her.
Amelia Cissily
She felt her cheeks warm, her heart pounding against her chest as she ran a hand along his jaw, tracing the lines of his face. “Richard…” she whispered, but words felt inadequate, lost in the gravity of the moment. Her lips found his once again, the kiss deeper this time, unhurried yet filled with a quiet passion that seemed to pulse between them.
He drew her closer, his hands exploring the curve of her back, his touch firmer as his fingers traced the lines of her form. She pressed herself against him, feeling the warmth of his feverish skin beneath her fingertips, her own body responding instinctively, leaning into the depth of his embrace. Every touch, every sigh seemed to blur the line between reality and the dreams they’d never dared voice.
As the minutes passed, their movements grew more urgent, fueled by the intensity of feelings that had been held back for so long. She leaned into his warmth, letting herself be vulnerable, her barriers falling away with every soft caress and lingering kiss. She could feel his heartbeat, strong and steady beneath her hand, grounding her even as everything between them shifted.
Eventually, they lay entwined in each other’s arms, the world outside forgotten. The fever in his body seemed to subside, calmed by the warmth they shared. As he drifted into sleep, he held her close, his grip firm, almost possessive, as if he were afraid to let go
As dawn crept through the blinds, Amelia stirred, finding herself still nestled in Richard’s embrace. She took a quiet moment to gaze at him, watching the rise and fall of his chest as he slept soundly. The fever had broken, and his face looked peaceful, more relaxed than she’d ever seen. A feeling of tenderness washed over her as she realized just how deeply she cared for him.
But as her thoughts drifted, Richard eyes slowly opened, his gaze softening when he saw her. A smile touched his lips, still sleepy yet somehow brighter, as if he was equally surprised and relieved to find her there.
Richard James
Morning,” he murmured,
Amelia Cissily
“Morning,” she replied, feeling a flush of warmth spread across her cheeks.
Richard James
He brushed a thumb over her cheek, as if grounding himself in the reality of her presence. “I don’t think I’ve ever felt this good waking up,” he said, his voice low, a hint of playfulness in his tone. “How did I get so lucky?”
Amelia Cissily
Her heart skipped at his words, but she managed a soft smile. “It’s the doctor’s magic,” she teased, though she knew the care she had offered had been anything but detached from her routine.
Richard James
He chuckled, though his gaze grew more serious as he reached for her hand, entwining their fingers. “I don’t think I can pretend anymore, Amelia. In the business trip I thought about us! This—whatever this is between us—it’s something I want. I need you to know that.”
She felt her heart race, her breath catching at his confession. She’d never allowed herself to consider how deep her feelings for him had grown, and now, seeing him this vulnerable, his words opened a door she couldn’t ignore
Richard James
We have known each other for a pretty long time so..... But if you are not comfortable then...
Without another word, she leaned in, capturing his lips in a kiss that was softer than before, but filled with the quiet promise of something real, something lasting. The kiss deepened, his hands tracing her shoulders and arms with a reverence that made her heart swell. Every touch felt like an affirmation, a wordless vow shared between them.
They stayed like that for a while, talking in whispers, exchanging soft laughter and lingering touches as the morning light filled the room. It felt like the start of something new, something neither of them had expected but had longed for without realizing.
For the first time, they both understood that they no longer had to keep their feelings hidden. They’d found each other, in their own quiet, unspoken way, and from that moment on, they knew they would walk this path together.
They realized, although they argued with each other, but they had always had the feeling of love hidden deep inside...
