Captive to the Vampire Prince
CHAPTER FOUR
*Lucian stood before the Vampire King, his father, his jaw clenched in frustration.*
Vampire King
*firmly* “Another human female will be brought to you. You will take her.”
Lucian
*furious* “I don’t want another human. They disgust me.”
Vampire King
*sighing* “It’s not about what you want, Lucian. The blood supply is dwindling. Our kind is weakening. We need to sacrifice a human to the Vampire God, or our clan will suffer. This is unknown to the humans but if they find out, they might rebel against us."
Lucian
*snarling* “Then sacrifice her yourself. I have no need for these pathetic creatures.”
Vampire King
*coldly* “You will do as you are commanded. She will serve you until the time comes for the ritual. This is not up for debate.”
*Lucian’s fists tightened, anger and frustration coursing through him. His hatred for humans ran deep, and the thought of being bound to one—even for a short time—was unbearable.*
