Aryan Mehra (Male Lead)
*Looks at her* What you doing alone here?
Inaya Agarwal (Female Lead)
*confused* Well..I was not till yet. Aman was here with me.
Aryan Mehra (Male Lead)
*Smiles at her answer* You are still not, I'm here. *Smirking*
Inaya Agarwal (FL young)
*Looks up at him*
Aryan Mehra (Male Lead)
You guys seems quite close.
Inaya Agarwal (Female Lead)
*Smiles,Excitedly* Yeah.. He's a childhood friend.
Aryan Mehra (Male Lead)
*Smiles looking at her excited look,at the same time pretty jealous* (Why you don't seem this excited with me?)
Aryan Mehra (Male Lead)
*Shook his head* So,How did you two became friends?
Inaya Agarwal (Female Lead)
*Chuckles remembering the past, and starts telling him. Gesturing him to sit beside her on swing*
*Flashback to when Inaya was 13 years old*
Inaya shifted to Pune to his Uncle(Shaurya Agnihotri's house) because she wanted to study in different city and She was quite close to her aunt and uncle.
She joined her new school there as well. Place was quite new for her but she was loving it though she couldn't make new friends due to her introverted nature.
The summer heat was relentless, but it didn’t stop the neighborhood boys from their daily cricket game in the street. Inaya had only been at her Uncle Shaurya’s house for a week, and the quietness of her new surroundings still felt odd. Her cousin, Yug, two years elder, was the only familiar face around, but even he seemed to disappear with friends most afternoons.
Today, however, Yug had insisted she join him outside for a bit of fresh air.
Yug Singhania(Young)
*Nudging her as they stepped outside of the house* Come on, it’ll be good for you. You can’t stay cooped up in that room forever.
Inaya Agarwal (FL young)
*shrugged but followed him down the steps of the house*
Inaya Agarwal (FL young)
*As they approached the street, she noticed a group of boys huddled around a makeshift cricket pitch. At the center of the group stood a boy with tousled hair and a smug grin*
Yug Singhania(Young)
Hey guys *He greeted few boys and the guy standing in the centre and introducing Inaya* So.. What's today's plan Aman
Aman Rathore (Young self)
*Didn't bother to acknowledge her presence*
Aman Rathore (Young self)
*Instead, he was focused on his teammates, instructing them as if he were the captain of an elite squad*
Aman Rathore (Young self)
*Arrogantly* Yug, we could use another player. But… *he glanced briefly at Inaya* I’m guessing she’s not exactly cut out for it.
Inaya Agarwal (FL young)
*Her eyebrow raised, momentarily taken aback by his dismissive tone. Her confidence kicked in almost immediately, masking her initial surprise*
Inaya Agarwal (FL young)
*Calmly but firmly* You don’t even know me, but you’re quick to assume. Who says I can't play?
Aman Rathore (Young self)
*Turned fully toward her now, clearly not expecting any pushback. His eyes scanned her from head to toe, as if measuring her abilities just by her appearance. The smirk on his face only grew*
Aman Rathore (Young self)
*Mocking* Oh really? You think you can handle it? This isn’t exactly a game for amateurs.
Yug Singhania(Young)
*Sensing the tension, chimed in, grinning at his sister’s boldness*
Yug Singhania(Young)
*Laughing* Trust me, Aman, you don’t want to underestimate her. She’s tougher than she looks.
Aman Rathore (Young self)
*Aman raised an eyebrow, unconvinced. He tossed the ball in his hand casually, exuding confidence.*
Aman Rathore (Young self)
*cocky* Alright then, why don’t you prove it? Let’s see if you can last more than one over
Inaya Agarwal (FL young)
*Her lips curled into a small smile. She was no expert in cricket, but she wasn’t one to back down from a challenge, especially when someone so smug was trying to belittle her.
Inaya Agarwal (FL young)
*Without missing a beat, she stepped forward, taking the bat from one of the boys*
Inaya Agarwal (FL young)
*Confidently* Fine. But don’t be too upset when you lose.
The boys exchanged glances, some of them stifling laughter, but Yug stood by her side, clearly amused and supportive of his cousin. Aman, however, took a few steps back, preparing to bowl with a look that said he was convinced she wouldn’t even hit the ball.
As Aman hurled the ball toward her with more force than necessary, Inaya’s eyes focused. Her hands tightened around the bat. With a graceful swing, she connected perfectly with the ball, sending it flying past Aman and the rest of the boys.
A few stunned moments passed in silence before Yug erupted in laughter, clapping his hands.
Yug Singhania(Young)
*Grinning* Told you, Aman! Don’t underestimate her.
Aman Rathore (Young self)
*His smug expression faltered for just a moment, his arrogance dented by Inaya’s unexpected talent*
Aman Rathore (Young self)
*But instead of admitting defeat, he smirked again, determined to regain the upper hand*
Aman Rathore (Young self)
*recovering* Alright, beginner’s luck. Let’s see if you can do that again.
Inaya Agarwal (FL young)
*Handed the bat back, still smiling, her confidence only growing with each second*
Inaya Agarwal (FL young)
*Teasing* Maybe later. I don’t want to embarrass you in front of your friends too much.
Aman Rathore (Young self)
*His gaze lingered on her longer this time, as if seeing her in a new light. Though he didn’t say it out loud, her quiet confidence had thrown him off balance*
Aman Rathore (Young self)
*For the first time in a long time, someone had stood up to his arrogance, and he wasn’t quite sure how to respond*.
Over the next few days, Aman kept finding reasons to talk to her, starting with sarcastic comments, but Inaya matched him each time, never backing down. Their rivalry slowly turned into a friendship, one built on mutual respect, even if neither of them would admit it yet.
