After the carriage left with the guards. The bandit looked at Princess Jingxi and demanded, "Hand him over."
"Tell your people to leave first." Princess Jingxi demanded back.
The bandit didn't say anything.
"Are afraid of that a woman?" She tried again.
"That won't work on me, step away from him and throw the dagger down." The bandit said as he took a few steps towards them.
"Do you really think I won't kill him?" Princess Jingxi said as she pressed the dagger on the neck of the hooded man and blood immediately flowed out. The man gritted his teeth and fisted his hand.
The bandit immediately stopped and ordered his people to put down the weapons. The people surrounding complied putting down the bow and arrows they were holding and took a step back.
"Throw down the dagger and they will leave." The bandit said to First Princess.
Princess Jingxi looked around and dropped the dagger. The people surrounding left immediately, the bandit moved fast and was standing right in front of her.
"You are one courageous woman I met. Let me see your face." He said extending his hand to the veil she was wearing on her face.
"Your Highness.." Ji Ran called as Princess Jingxi took a step back and avoided the bandit's hand.
"My people are still a call away, one shout and you will end up right here." The bandit threatened.
The hooded man coughed violently and drifted the bandit's attention away from the Princess to him.
Just as the bandit turned, Princess Jingxi dived, picked up the dropped dagger putting it on the bandit's neck so fast he couldn't even make a sound.
As he opened his mouth, she said from behind him, "Don't try to call out to anyone. You would be dead before they reach out." She said pressing the dagger hard on his neck.
The hooded man stood up from the ground weakly and said to the bandit, "The thing you want to know is not known to me. The leader lied to you as I wanted to get out of the organization and he didn't want that to happen."
"You are lying." The bandit said.
"I know you don't believe it but it's the truth." The hooded man said as she staggered back.
"Do you have the antidote to his poison?" Princess Jingxi asked the bandit.
"It's the lethal poison with no antidote." The bandit said.
"Ji Ran help him inside and get on the carriage." Princess Jingxi ordered.
Ji Ran nodded and helped the hooded man to get inside the carriage and sat out holding the
reins of the horses.
First Princess got on the carriage leaving the bandit behind with his hands, feet and mouth tied.
"Ji Ran, move quickly before they come after us." Princess Jingxi ordered.
"Yes your highness." Ji Ran said as the carriage started moving down the path with a high speed.
"Let me see your wound." Princess Jingxi said to the hooded man.
"It's no use now. We are already late, there's no anti dote and the poison has already spread." The man said coughing.
Princess Jingxi sighed, taking out the porcelain bottle and uttered, "I can't believe, I have to use it so soon after getting."
"Give me your arm. This is a miracle medicine against all poisons." She said to him opening the bottle.
He forwarded his arm and asked, "This is a precious treasure, it can save your life in an unexpected situation. Are you going to use it on me?"
"No matter how big a treasure it is. It's value is not more than a person's life." She said as she applied the medicine to him.
He looked at her with surprised expression as if he could not understand why would a person do such a thing.
"We have entered the city gate, Your Highness. Are we goimg straight to the Palace?" came Ji Ran's voice from outside.
Princess Jingxi looked at the man in front of her and replied, "No, send a message to Marquis mansion firstly asking Brother Jun to meet urgently at the Spade Pavillion."
...
At the Spade Pavilion,
"How are you feeling now?" Princess Jingxi asked the hooded man as he sat down in front of her.
"I am grateful for your help." The man replied.
"Second Master Yue is here." Ji Ran reported as Yue Jun entered the area.
He ran straight towards the First Princess and held her arm asking, "Are you hurt anywhere?"
"I'm not." She replied.
"Ji Ran told me everything that happened. I should have stayed there with you." he said.
"Nothing happened, there is no need to feel bad. I'm not hurt at all." She said reassuring him.
"It's good that nothing bad happened to you." He said and patted her head.
He turned around and saw the hooded man sitting on the chair.
"I want you to take him in till he recovers from his injury." Princess Jingxi said to Yue Jun.
The hodded man kneeled to shoe his respect.
Yue Jun looked at the man and ordered, "Remove your hood and tell me your name."
The man removed his hood and looked up at them.
On seeing his face, Xia Jingxi got shocked as as she staggered back and uttered, "Ye Hong." Ji Ran held her to prevent her from falling down.
This man, he looked the same as the personal guard in her dream and the same name.
Before this she deemed those dreams as nightmares but now someone from the dream was right in front of her, carrying the same name. She wasn't sure what to say about those dreams anymore. Was it a coincidence, her future somehow or a past life she had ready lived.
The man kneeling down was shocked too as he whispered, "How did she know my name?"
Yue Jun saw her stagger back as he reached out to her. Ji Ran held her to stop her from falling.
"Jingxi, Are you alright?" Yue Jun asked but she appeared frozen as she didn't respond.
"Your Highness." Ji Ran called out.
Princess Jingxi fainted and they held her to stop her from falling.
"Let's go to Marquis Mansion first." Yue Jun said to them picking up Xia Jingxi.
