At the lunch table, Damien attempted to strike up a conversation with her, but Pallavi remained distant, her hands shaking slightly as she avoided his gaze.

"Pallavi, why are you so quiet today? Did something happen?"
Pallavi Trivedi
(keeping her eyes on her plate, her voice barely a whisper): "No...nothing, just tired, I guess."
Damien Blackwell
(leaning in, concerned): "You don’t look okay. You can talk to me, you know."
Pallavi Trivedi
(forcing a small smile, still not meeting his eyes): "I’m fine, Damien. Just need some time alone, that’s all."

Despite her attempts to keep the conversation light, the tension between them was palpable. Pallavi could feel Damien's gaze on her, but all she wanted was to escape the situation.

(narrowing her eyes slightly, suspicious): "You seem a little distracted. What's going on?"

(forcing a casual smile): "Nothing, just thinking about some stuff. I'm listening now."

(not fully convinced but letting it go): "Okay... if you say so."

But as she continued talking, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something was off with Damien, his mind clearly elsewhere.

Pallavi quickly finished her meal, her hands trembling slightly as she stood up from the table. Without saying a word, she hurriedly walked away, her heart racing with unease.

Damien watched her go, his eyes following her every step until she disappeared from sight. His smile faded, and his gaze dropped to his untouched plate of food. The sight of it made his stomach churn. He felt an odd emptiness, a hunger that had nothing to do with the food in front of him.

(softly): "Damien? Are you okay?"

Damien snapped out of his thoughts, his eyes fluttering open as he turned to look at Amelia. For a moment, he seemed disoriented, as if he had been lost in a world of his own.

Damien suddenly stood up, grabbing his bag with a determined look in his eyes. Without saying a word, he left the table, his mind set on one thing—finding Pallavi. Amelia watched him go, worry etched on her face as she wondered what was going through his mind.

Damien’s breath is hot against her neck, causing her to shiver.

Aditya?…what happened? [confused as it unusual of Aditya to stay silent]

Damien’s eyes snap open. Realizing she mistook him for Aditya, he slowly turns her around, pinning her against the shelf with his arms on either side, trapping her.

His gaze is intense, filled with a mix of emotions that make Pallavi’s heart race.

Pallavi’s heart nearly skips a beat, her eyes wide with shock as she stammers.

D-Damien, what are you doing?! Let go! [struggling to free herself, panic rising]

Pallavi continues to push against him, her anxiety growing.

Please... maintain your distance. I’ll listen, but th-this... [her voice trembles, trying to make sense of the situation]

Instead of stepping back, Damien lowers his forehead to rest against hers, their breaths mingling. Pallavi's eyes widen even more, fear and confusion washing over her.
