To take her revenge before dying she cursed that magic which was biggest recreation of all angle will diminish from earth

that would be her revenge

Since then huli gai's were born in secret deep in forest and one among the couple would be sacrificed as a ritual to undo the curse and Leon's mother was one of them however Leon is unaware about this story
