The Rebels base of the 4th district is not all that bad compared to the others
Everyone here has a job to do, everyone fits perfectly and no one feels neither useless nor out of place. Expect two strange individuals sitting on top of an Oak tree after a "climbing competition" that Kode so bitterly lost because Tebb could fly as his sword form
Tebb
I don't understand why you're refusing to let them tag along?
Kode
I'm perfectly fine with working alone, they're just dead weight, they'll drag us down.
Tebb
Kode! that's not very nice! Besides they're not weak! He has Mild magic and she has Extreme magic!
Kode
Listen Tebb, I just don't want to be dragged down, I don't understand why Maze is so adamant about having them with us.
Tebb
She just needs to make sure you won't go on a rampage and also so that we'll be able to communicate with other Rebels in case we need help or information.
Kode
I know she already said that, can you not be logical about this for one second and let me vent!?
Tebb
Well you should've already said that!
Kode groaned in frustration before pushing him off the tree branch they were sitting on
Kode
*grumble underneath her breath* Try flying now
Tebb could only scream as he fell down, not being able to transform in time as his face hit the ground, Kode only snickered at his state, before something caught her eye, or rather someone.
Helena was with a bunch of children in the middle of the forest as they all laughed, flying bubbles of light floated around them as the kids chased them desperately trying to catch them.
Kode slowly climbed down the tree, patting Tebb on the back as a signal for him to stop acting dramatic, knowing damn well that he didn't get hurt.
Kode
Come along, I need to see something.
Tebb
*groan as he gets up* this better be worth it.
As they slowly approached the group the light bubbles approached them as well, kode just swatted them away as she walked closer, but they kept clinging to her and more so to Tebb
Helena and the kids were now in direct sight, so Kode and Tebb just stayed there staring at them, Kode was clearly studying her, her movements and how the little light balls moved along
Helena
*Notices them* Oh hi..
The light balls immediately disappeared and the kids whined, Helena was obviously taken aback by Kode and Tebb's presence, Kode slowly approached her, her expression unreadable
Helena
Oh uh yeah, didn't Leader Maze tell you since you're my teammate now? I have Extreme magic, so..
Kode
I know but even if you do, that amount of magic control is impressive.
Helena
Oh? *breathy chuckle* Thank you.
Kode
Yeah, I'll leave you to it.
Kode slowly turned around and walked back, Tebb trailing right behind her.
Tebb
So? what do you think?
Kode
They're coming with us.
