chapter 3: Intruders

the Earth below trembled greatly as black smoke began rising in the distance.

Yao(this is Cui Yan father's name), run back to the village and accompany your mother and the rest of the villagers.

but father...., Yao blurted...

his father cut his sentence short and roared "i wouldn't repeat myself, now do as I told you to"

yes father.. he replied with a mumble before turning around and running into the forest towards the village...

after confirming the dismissal of his son, Cui Shen began moving towards the border of the little village and met with the rest of the village men who were already on their way there.

village head, one of the men shouted out as soon as he saw him.

it appears to be the barbarians again at our border.

another man replied "they should have given up on coming back to us as they cannot break our protection barrier. The Sky Turtle Formation seal is a godly treasure and can't be penetrated from the outside... and can only be opened from the inside"

a while later they had arrived at the border and are standing just before the barrier, while at the other side of the barrier a huge man wearing a coat made of the fiery demon tiger. his helm is made from the soul of the same demon beast...

there demon tiger is a beat that has the power of the early stage of the Earth realm and for the barbarian general to be able to own it he must at least be at the mid to last stage of the Earth realm.

behind the general, stand over 500 barbarian soldiers who's skin are slightly read after being sprayed so much blood from their endless Fighting. the sight is indeed ghastly cause when compared to the 60 or so men from the village, it is like a rabbit in a standoff with a bear.

Cui Shen steps towards the barrier directly in front of the barbarian general and asks what they are here for...

the bewildered barbarian burst out a deep guttural laugh that sounds more like a grunt {GRT:ewww 😂}. He then says

"I admire your courage but you should know when to give up otherwise It would be considered as foolishness. seeing my hundreds of troops aren't you afraid" he roared.

but Cui Yao isn't the slightest moved by any of this but says..

although I'm not a person who likes to repeat myself, but I would choose to do so just this once. what are you here for?

the general in a rage says

who are you to question me. by the time I am done pillaging your worthless village I will then use your skull to drink wine!

{GRT:he's got a weird taste I must say}

with that he turns around and shouts bring out the god Cannon...

the men from the village began discussing amongst themselves

did I hear him right? did he just say the god Cannon? not possible there's only one god Cannon and the barbarians can't get their hands on it...

(indeed the god Cannon is a rare artifact that according to legends shoots out qi and no defence can hold against it. for some reasons though, the man who forged this weapon made it so it can only shoot once and after that a cooling period of about a month is required before it can be used again).

just as they are contemplating about if it was real or just a bluff. the barbarian army began to make way and then three lightening bulls pulling a large cart guided by several barbarians make their way to the Frontline.

Behold the god Cannon!

the barbarian general says before bursting into another rumbling laughter....(insert your laughter lines)
