EXT. DEVEN CITY - NIGHT

EXT. ABANDONED WAREHOUSE - NIGHT

The warehouse is dark and foreboding. Shadows move stealthily. The gang “Haku” is shown briefly, their presence menacing. The camera focuses on the leader of Haku, a figure hidden in darkness, plotting their next move.

INT. EDWIN'S FAMILY HOME - LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

A warm, cozy living room. The camera shows a picture of EDWIN, his MOTHER, and a MYSTERIOUS MAN (Edwin's father, whose name is not revealed). They are laughing and talking, enjoying a peaceful evening.

MOTHER (cheerful)

You know, it’s been a while since we had a quiet night like this.

MYSTERIOUS MAN (smiling)

Just needed to clear my mind. I’ll take a walk to the park. Might help me get some fresh ideas.

EDWIN (supportive)

Be careful out there, Dad.

MYSTERIOUS MAN (nodding)

The park is dimly lit, serene. The MYSTERIOUS MAN walks through, enjoying the solitude. Suddenly, a black van skids to a halt nearby. MASKED FIGURES from Haku emerge, surrounding the MYSTERIOUS MAN.

MASKED FIGURE 1 (urgent)

We’ve got him. Move fast!

The MYSTERIOUS MAN struggles, but he is overpowered and forced into the van. The vehicle speeds away, disappearing into the night.

CUT TO:

INT. EDWIN'S FAMILY HOME - LIVING ROOM - NIGHT

EDWIN waits anxiously. The clock ticks loudly. His MOTHER is pacing nervously.

MOTHER (frantic)

Where is he? He should have been back by now!

EDWIN (speaking calmly, but worried)

I’ll go look for him. It’s not like him to be late without calling.

CUT TO:

EXT. CITY PARK - NIGHT

EDWIN arrives, searching frantically. He finds a trail of his father’s belongings—his wallet, a torn photograph. His heart races.

EDWIN (shouting)

Dad! Where are you?

There’s no answer. EDWIN’s face shows growing panic and dread. He searches the area, but finds no trace of his father.

CUT TO:

INT. EDWIN'S FAMILY HOME - LIVING ROOM - DAY

The next morning. EDWIN and his MOTHER sit, the weight of the situation heavy on their shoulders. Police officers are taking statements.

POLICE OFFICER (sympathetic)

We’re doing everything we can, but there’s no sign of him yet.

EDWIN (determined)

He’s gone. I can feel it.

MOTHER (teary)

We have to believe he’s still out there. We can’t lose hope.

EDWIN (resolute)

I’m going to find him, no matter what.

CUT TO:

INT. EDWIN'S BEDROOM - NIGHT

EDWIN pores over evidence, a wall covered with photos, notes, and red strings connecting different leads. His eyes are tired but focused.

EDWIN (whispering to himself)

They took him because he was a threat. I’ll make them pay.

CUT TO:

EXT. ABANDONED BUILDING - NIGHT

EDWIN’s investigation leads him to an abandoned building. He breaks in, moving cautiously. The interior is dark, with eerie echoes.

EDWIN (calling out)

Haku! Show yourselves!

The gang members of Haku appear, surrounding him. Their leader, a shadowy figure, steps forward.

HAKU LEADER (menacing)

You’re too late. Your father’s fate was sealed the moment he crossed us.

EDWIN (furious)

You think you can just take him and get away with it?

HAKU LEADER (smirking)

The world’s a cruel place. You should know that by now.

EDWIN (angry)

You will pay for this!

A fierce battle ensues. EDWIN fights valiantly, his skills honed by desperation and rage. He defeats the gang members one by one, showing no mercy.

CUT TO:

INT. SECRET HIDEOUT - NIGHT

EDWIN, exhausted and bloody, confronts the HAUK LEADER in the hideout. The room is dimly lit, filled with ominous shadows.

EDWIN (angry)

Where is he? Tell me!

HAKU LEADER (chuckling)

You’re too late. The only thing you’ll find here is your own demise.

EDWIN (furious)

I’ll make you suffer for what you’ve done!

A brutal fight follows. EDWIN’s rage is palpable as he fights with unrestrained fury. The Haku Leader tries to escape but is ultimately overpowered.

EDWIN (grimly)

This is for my father!

EDWIN delivers a final, devastating blow. The Haku Leader falls, defeated. EDWIN stands over him, breathing heavily.

HAKU LEADER (weakly)

You’ll never find him… Joseph...

EDWIN (angry and confused)

Who? What are you talking about?

The Haku Leader’s eyes close, lifeless.

CUT TO:

EXT. CITY STREET - DAWN

EDWIN, now battered and disheveled, walks through the city. He looks up at the skyline of Deven, a new determination in his eyes.

EDWIN (V.O.) (voice-over)

I have nothing left to lose. I will rebuild this city in my image.

INT. ABANDONED WAREHOUSE - NIGHT

The camera pans over a hidden room filled with various documents and photos. One photo shows the MYSTERIOUS MAN and EDWIN, with a note that reads “Joseph, the mastermind.”

CUT TO:

EXT. CITY CENTER - DAY

EDWIN stands in front of a crowd, having taken control of the city. The people watch, stunned. He addresses them with newfound authority.

EDWIN (solemnly)

I am now the ruler of Deven. The old order is gone. From now on, things will change.

The crowd murmurs, unsure but hopeful.

EDWIN (V.O.) (voice-over)

This is only the beginning. I will bring justice, and I will forge a new path for Deven.
