"I’m so sorry!"

Liam exclaimed

His face a mixture of surprise and embarrassment.

He bent down to gather his things

His heart pounding in his chest.

When he looked up, his eyes met Ethan’s

And for a moment, everything else faded away.

Ethan

Ethan, momentarily stunned

Ethan

Quickly knelt to help.

Ethan

“No, it’s my fault. I wasn’t paying attention,”

Ethan

He said, his voice calm yet firm.

Ethan

He handed Liam his book

Their hands brushed, and a spark of recognition flickered between them.

It was as if they had known each other in another lifetime, their souls reaching out across the void.

Liam

Liam blushed, feeling a warmth spread through him.

“Thank you,”

Liam

He murmured, tucking a strand of hair behind his ear.

“I’m Liam, by the way.”

Ethan

"I am Ethan” replied,

A soft smile playing on his lips.

Ethan

“Nice to meet you, Liam."

They stood there for a moment, the world around them resuming its frantic pace, but they were in their own little bubble.

Liam couldn’t shake the feeling that something significant had just happened.

There was an inexplicable connection, a sense of familiarity that defied logic.

“I should get going,” Ethan said reluctantly

Glancing at his watch. “I have a meeting.”

Liam

“Of course,” Liam replied,

Feeling a pang of disappointment. “I’ll see you around?”

Ethan

Ethan nodded, his eyes lingering on Liam’s for a beat longer than necessary.

Ethan

"Yeah, I hope so.”

As they parted ways, both men couldn’t shake the feeling that they had just crossed paths with someone important.
