Freya's POV
I'm a sixth grader. Again. I'm sure you're wondering why. Well....
***Flashback**
"I can make you go back in time."
I gasped. "You......don't tell me...."
She sighed. "You read too much manga."
I glared at her. "How dare you—"
"And watched too much anime."
I beamed. "Now that's more like it!"
"You're hopeless."
"Hahahahaha! But I'm honestly offended. There's no such thing as having read too many mangas or have watched too many animes! And every otaku knows it!" I said it with pride. I mean, who wouldn't?
Then I remembered what she told me. I looked at her seriously. "And you said about letting me go back in time? Is it....." I hesitated. "Is it possible to save her?"
She smiled. "I'm glad you finally asked." She paused. And I waited. I was holding my breath. I was waiting. Waiting for an answer I couldn't accept. But hope is still there.
"..." I keep looking at her face.
"..." She keeps looking at me really seriously. She opened her mouth to say—
"Buahahahahaha!!!"
What?
She was holding her stomach with both arms while trying hard not to laugh. Which she is failing at.
"Hey hey hey! Why are you laughing? Were you lying to me when you said you could send me back through time?!" I'm having mixed emotions right now. Should I feel angry? Betrayed? Sad? I don't know!
"Pffft....I'm sorry. Ahem!" She cleared her throat. "I apologise for my rude behavior but it was funny to see you waiting with a face like that!"
I felt numbed. And when I feel numbed, another personality would show up. Two, actually. But it depends on the current situation. And it's not like a double(or triple?) whom you don't remember their doings, but instead, I do remember them. I do them for myself, but at the same time I don't. I discovered them during my 6 highschool years. I call the two personalities Angel, the good one who governs the good side of society. And the other, Fallen, the sly one who governs the dark side of humanity. But really, they're both me.
And right now, I'm Fallen.
"Wait wait wait! Freya? Okay! I'm an entity that will help you go back in time and change the future that you've already experienced and all I need is a soul contract to seal the deal!"
I returned back to 'normal'. "Then it's true." She nods. "I accept the contract. What do I have to do?"
"Turn around and close your eyes. And I'll do the rest."
I did as I was told.
"Good! You're more obedient than a thought~ Okie dokie! Here goes nothing!"
At that moment, all I could ever think about was saving the one I love from her fate.
End of Flashback*
But I'm seriously thinking why I agreed to such a contract without knowing anything first. I'm hopeless. I frowned.
"Hey. Wipe that frown off your face. You're a sixth grader again, aren't you? You were shy back then! Very very shy! Now act like it!" It was Kireina, who she introduced herself as, and she changed her looks. She's now a blonde who comes from overseas.
And as much as I'm annoyed right now, she's right. I was really shy back then. When I look back. I can really say I was pathetic. I mean, during my highschool days. Damn puberty. Anyway, I should think about my situation.
I looked beside me and Kireina was already munching on a cookie. Hmm? A cookie?
"Where did you get that?" I pointed at the cookie.
"Hmm?" She looked at me with confusion.
Oh. "Right. Nevermind." I forgot you were not human. I looked around my surroundings. Hmm. Kireina said that she sent me back in time two weeks before the school's biggest even every year. What's the biggest event of the school every year? Huh. I already forgot. That's to be expected since I'm not a student anymore. Should I ask someone?
I looked around. Left. There's no one besides Kireina munching on a cookie. Right. No one. Wait. What day is today?
"Kireina—"
"There's no school today." Munch.
Inhale. Exhale. Inhale. Exhale.
Then I stood up. "Hey. Kirena?"
"Ye—" she dropped her cookie.
"I'm trying not to kil—strangle you right now. So could you let me know in advance what I should know? Becau~se if you do not then I might accidentally kil—mur—do something stupid. And I hate to do that to someone who I know is not easy to kill—ah." I realised something. I bowed my head to Kireina. "I'm sorry. One of my personalities suddenly surfaced."
"Hahahahaha. It's fine~ That's one of the things that I lo—like about you."
Was she going to say 'love'? I might be mistaken. Oh well. First things first.
"Kireina. Stand up. We're going somewhere."
"No."
"Oka—don't joke with me! Let's go to my home! If you won't list—"
Wah? What? I felt a gush of wind and now I'm...being carried bridal style by her?! How strong is she?! Or more like, how light am I? Oh right. She's not human.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go to your parents' house!" Then she starts to run.
"W-wait! People will see us!"
She laughed with full energy. "Don't worry. I can choose whoever can see me or not. The same goes for whoever is in contact with me. Besides, even if your separated from me, others can't see you if I don't want them to."
"That goes for everybody too?" I asked.
Her expression suddenly turned serious. And something else.
"No. It's only possible if..." she looked at my eyes.
"If...?"
She looked back at the road. "Nothing."
Nothing? The heck is with her?
"We're here."
