**** Alina ****
Two days had passed since Artemides arrived at the cave. She’s teaching me how to fight; actually, she’s been teaching me many things. We’re fighting with staffs as if they were swords.
"Alina! You are too distracted, you need concentration!""Artemides scolds."
"He is dying, isn't he?""Alina questions anxiously."
"What?""says Artemides, surprised that Alina noticed."
"The Dragon, he (Alina sighs immensely sadly) he is dying?""She inquires even though she already knows the answer."
Artemides nods her head.
"Can we do something! Like, can we buy medicine, take him to…"
Artemides interrupts Alina.
"Alina! There's nothing we can do! We have a cycle of beginning, middle and end, and the Dragon is at the end!""Artemides declares cautiously."
"No! Don't say that! I saved him! He can't die!""Alina speaks with a heavy heart, she didn't want the creature to die."
"How can you be so fond of the Dragon if you only met him a few days ago?""Artemides questions Alina in surprise."
"When he crossed in front of me, it was like I could see his soul and he could see mine, it was like I was looking at myself, he is like me! We were being chased and we were alone.""Alina declares sincerely."
"I know what that's like!""Artemides reveals, briefly recalling her life."
"I don't want to be alone anymore!""says Alina in tears."
"You will never be alone again! You can be sure of my words!""Artemides declares, aware of what Dragon was going to do."
"I know, he will be in my heart... Artemides, are you sure there's nothing we can do?""Alina asks hopefully."
"No! Everything has its time Alina, but rest assured, he will be beyond your heart!""Artemides replies with determination."
"You know, the first time I saw him, I knew he was a dragon, but I didn't believe my eyes, I thought dragons only existed in books.""Alina commented."
"Nonsense! Alright, they are almost extinct, but everyone knows they exist!""Artemides exclaimed."
Alina looks at Artemides in surprise.
"As far as I know, dragons, witches, wizards, only exist in books, Artemides!""Alina argues."
"What? Where do you come from?""Artemides asks in amazement."
"What do you mean where do I come from? We are in Brazil, in the forest near my house, speaking of which, I think those thugs have given up chasing me.""Alina says."
"Alina, can I touch your head?""Artemides asks."
"What are you going to do?""Alina asks suspiciously."
"Trust me, I won't hurt you!""Artemides says."
Artemides puts her hand on Alina's head and accesses her memories, then steps away.
"I understand!""Artemides looks at Alina with a certain sadness."
"So? What did you do?""Alina questions."
"Well, first I have to explain something to you, you are no longer near the forest near your house, when you jumped into that river, you actually went through a portal, remember you were sucked in by the water and then thrown out?""Artemides questions."
"Yes! I remember!""Alina confirms."
"So you went through a portal, here is another world, it's a kind of extension of the other one you lived in, they are connected, but they are separate, however, they have their connections.""Artemides explains."
"A little complicated to understand. You mean I'm in a different world than the one I lived in, one where there are dragons, witches?""Alina questions, still disbelieving what she heard and the conclusion she reached."
"Yes, you got it! You're not as slow to understand as Dragon said.""Artemides stated."
"You can talk to the Dragon? That's cool!!! Wait, did he say I was slow?""Alina questions, surprised to learn what Dragon thought of her."
"Yes!""Artemides replies, holding back laughter."
"What a rude little dragon!""Alina comments." How can you talk to him? "" She asks curiously.
"I am a witch, I can communicate telepathically."
"What did you do in my head?"
"I accessed your memories to understand a little more about you, sorry to invade your privacy, but I wasn't understanding you.""Artemides explains."
"No problem! Let's stop training for a bit, I'm hungry!""Alina says calmly."
"I just told you you're in another world and you're thinking about eating? Unbelievable!""Artemides says in awe."
"Why? You accessed my memories, so you should know why I don't care if I'm in another world!""Alina exclaimed."
When I enter the cave, I see the Dragon, I hug him and he raises his head and looks at me once again, it is as if I could observe his soul and he could observe mine, however, at that moment it was as if our souls were uniting and becoming one. A pain invades my heart and a great sadness seizes me, at that moment I was sure that the time had come for Dragon to leave! I didn't want him to die, we would be a family, I thought we would stay together!
I start to cry, his eyes still fixed on me, with a soft expression of great affection.
"Please Dragon, don't die! Please!!! I plead without stopping looking at him, surprisingly I watch as the Dragon's body slowly disappears, forming into flames, his whole body became a great flame that was diminishing and coming towards me, I was in tears, but I was not afraid of burning myself, for that fire was my friend Dragon."
I hold out my hands and the great flame, now small, comes to my hand.
The fire consumes my hand and then spreads to my arm, incredibly it is not burning me, I feel a powerful energy around my body and something inside me also awakens, it is as if all my senses were awakened exaggeratedly.
I feel the fire consuming me, but it is not causing me pain, it is the energy of this fire that consumes my whole body, I feel a great strength within me, it is surreal! Extremely incredible! I can't feel my feet on the ground, as if I were floating, suddenly I feel everything diminishing and I don't know anything else, I black out.
