Chapter 16: Get a grip
As Hunter lay on his bed, frustration simmered beneath the surface as memories of the past few days flashed through his mind like a relentless storm. He couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled over him ever since Azalea began avoiding him, and with each passing day, his frustration only grew.
The image of Azalea changing direction to avoid him replayed in his mind like a broken record, a constant reminder of the distance that had grown between them. He couldn't understand why she was avoiding him, why she seemed so intent on keeping her distance.
With a frustrated sigh, Hunter clenched his fists, the anger boiling inside him threatening to spill over. He couldn't shake the feeling of rejection that gnawed at the edges of his consciousness, the sense that he had somehow let Azalea down without even realizing it.
But amidst the anger and frustration, there was a flicker of something else, something deeper and more vulnerable. Beneath his tough exterior, Hunter couldn't help but feel a pang of hurt at Azalea's apparent rejection, a sense of longing for the connection they had once shared without a single conversation.
As he lay there in the darkness, the weight of his emotions pressing down on him like a heavy burden, Hunter couldn't help but wonder what had gone wrong between them. And as he drifted off to sleep, the unanswered questions swirling in his mind, he couldn't shake the feeling.
Hunter's eyes shot open in surprise as he felt someone moving closer to him, their breath warm against his ear. A sweet aroma filled his senses, sending a shiver down his spine as he felt a soft pair of lips press against his cheek.
For a moment, he was frozen in shock, unable to comprehend what was happening. But as the realization dawned on him, his heart skipped a beat and his pulse quickened with excitement. Could it be...?
Slowly, he turned his head to see Azalea standing beside him, her eyes sparkling with mischief and a playful smile dancing on her lips. In that moment, everything seemed to fall into place, and Hunter felt a surge of warmth wash over him as he realized that Azalea had come to him, breaking through the walls of silence and distance that had separated them.

As he looked into her eyes, he saw a flicker of vulnerability there, a silent plea for understanding and forgiveness. And At that moment, all of his anger and frustration melted away, replaced by a deep sense of relief and gratitude.
Reaching out, Hunter gently took Azalea's hand in his own, his touch gentle and reassuring.

Azalea *murmured, his voice soft with emotion*

I've missed you.
As Azalea made Hunter sit on the bed, she took his face in her hands and gazed deeply into his eyes. At that moment, she could see the raw emotion reflected in his gaze, a fiery passion and a longing desire that sent a shiver down her spine.
With a soft smile, Azalea leaned in closer, her heart pounding in her chest as she closed the distance between them. Their lips met in a tender kiss, a gentle expression of the love and desire that flowed between them.
As Hunter wrapped his hands around Azalea's waist, pulling her closer to him, she felt a surge of warmth flood through her body. His touch was electric, sending shivers down her spine as he drew her near.
With his other hand gently cradling her jaw, Hunter kissed her deeply, his lips moving with a passion that set her heart ablaze. As their tongues danced together in a tender embrace, Azalea felt a wave of emotion wash over her, tears welling in her eyes as she surrendered herself to the intensity of their connection.
As they continued to kiss, lost at the moment, Azalea's knees grew weak beneath her, her entire being consumed by the passion of their embrace. But with Hunter's arms wrapped securely around her.
Feeling the intensity of Azalea's touch, Hunter's heart skipped a beat as she clenched his collar, her fingers trembling with emotion. At that moment, he could sense the depth of her passion and desire, mirroring his own.
With a gentle touch, Hunter reached up to caress Azalea's cheek, his eyes locked on hers with unwavering intensity. In that moment, there were no words needed, no explanations required. They both knew what they wanted, their connection stronger than ever before.
Lost in the heat of the moment, Hunter leaned in to kiss Azalea once more, his lips meeting hers with a fervor that ignited a fire within them both. And as they melted into each other's embrace, they knew that their love was a force to be reckoned with, unyielding and unstoppable.
As Hunter's eyes shot open, his heart racing with the remnants of his dream still lingering in his mind, he let out a heavy sigh. The sound of the alarm ringing in the room only served to jolt him back to reality, reminding him that he had been lost in a dream.

Damn. . . . .

*running his long rough fingers through his sweat-dampened hair*

. . . .just a dream. *rolls his warm tongue on his dry lips*
As he lay there in bed, trying to shake off the lingering effects of his vivid imagination, Hunter couldn't help but feel a sense of disappointment wash over him. The intensity of the dream had felt so real, so vivid, that for a moment he had almost believed it to be true.
But as he forced himself to sit up and silence the alarm, he knew that he couldn't dwell on what might have been. Dreams were just that—dreams. And while they might offer a temporary escape from reality, they were no substitute for the challenges and joys of real life.
As Hunter sat on the edge of the bed, his mind still reeling from the remnants of his dream, he couldn't shake the feeling of Azalea's soft lips lingering on his face. The sensation left him feeling flustered and unsettled, a mix of desire and frustration coursing through him.

Darn it! Get a grip on yourself Hunter. It was just a mere dream! *breathes heavily*
But try as he might to push the memory aside, the lingering sensation of Azalea's touch refused to fade. It danced at the edges of his consciousness, taunting him with its tantalizing sweetness and leaving him feeling more conflicted than ever.
