My brother is finally on summer break and he’s going to be back today
As I am in the fridge looking for something I freeze
As I feel two hands slide under my t-shirt and graze the top of my underwear just a little and squeeze the sides of my waist
I feel a head buried into the hem of my neck

In that second I didn’t even have to look to see who it was
There’s only one person who calls me that
I swallow before I say anything
I thought I’d be over these feelings
especially after a year of not seeing him

I’m guessing he’s referring to the fact that I am only wearing a t-shirt and my underwear

I’m in MY house and I had no idea when you all will be back

Ahh…correction this is not your house you’re just living in it

ugh…I can’t do this right now I’m going to my room
I take my snack from the fridge and walk up to my room as I hear Mo laughing in the distance

Bro you’re going to make her wish we never came back

Oh no I think you did a great job of that on your own before I even walked in
As I flop on my bed a little annoyed I thought about how my brother is too over protective
Plus he and Mo walk around the house shirtless all the time…
Gosh I’ll be 18 in 7 months you think he’d stop treating me like a baby
I never even had a boyfriend before this year because they’ve always chased off everyone
but my brother would never worry about Mo anyway because they both see me as a sister
I got a boyfriend to get over Mo but he just came back and all this year’s progress has flown out the window
Mid thought I hear a knock at the door

Hey honeybun, do you know where your dad is?

Dad’s on a business trip and won’t be back till two weeks after I get out so about a month

And you’re just here by yourself?

Yeah because believe it or not I’m a big girl with a big girl car and can live and take myself to school for the last two weeks

You got me there but prefer the term rising sophomore now that I’m on break

He places a kiss on my forehead and I feel my cheeks burn up

And I’ll let your brother know your dad isn’t home
And he walks out leaving a crack of my bedroom door open
I yell then hear him chuckle from across the hall
I get up and slam the door closed and go to call my boyfriend cause I need someone to talk to right now
