AFTER 10 YEARS...
Rafael sighed, and he stood up properly while handling the bouquet that he was about to give her girlfriend. Danica. They’ve been in relationship for about 4 years. And today was their 4th year anniversary. Their relationship began when they met on a shooting. They are both now a very famous artist.
Not just an artist. Everyone ships them. Rafael become popular. Without everyone knowing he was a vampire.
He knocked the door and wait patiently for Danica to open the door.

Danica said before she opened the door.
Rafael Park
“You look sad, what happen?” I asked her.
Rafael stepped closer to Danica to caressed her cheeks. But Danica stepped backwards.
A knot suddenly formed on Rafael’s forehead...thinking.

“What happened, why is she like this?”
Danica Lim
“Just come in...
Rafael Park
Danica said, and I came inside of Danica’s condo.
Rafael gave Danica the bouquet and they both sat on the sofa. Both silent. They somehow felt the awkwardness. They are not like that often.
Rafael Park
“What happened” I ask her again.
Danica take a deep breath before she speaks.
Danica Lim
“Babe...let’s break up.” Rafael’s eyes widened on Danica’s statement. He was trying to think what he did something wrong.
Rafael Park
“You’re just kidding, right? Danica shook her head.
Danica Lim
“My parents...they already knew...that you’re a vampire.”
Rafael sighed. He was starting to think that Danica wasn’t different to other people. When other people knew about he was a vampire. They stepped away from him.
He didn’t want that feeling. To be treated different. He only feel to be treated normally. When he was with Angel.
Danica Lim
“They said. They will tell everyone that you’re a vampire. If you didn’t break up with me.”
Rafael held her hands tight.
Rafael Park
“It’s okay, I want to be with you.”
Danica Lim
“No, if they figured out. You will never experience a normal life again. Do you want that to happen just for me?”
Rafael Park
“Yes, because I love you...”
Rafael was holding back his tears.
Rafael Park
“If I only didn’t born to be a vampire...this wouldn’t happen.
Rafael Park
Danica removed my hands from her. She looked at me like she already knew this thing was coming.

“Just broke up with me.”
It was the most painful thing that Rafael experienced on his whole life. He lost the only person he know he can trust. And he loved so much.

“I don’t want to.”
Rafael gritted his teeth and he stood up. The plants suddenly dried up. It is one of Rafael’s disadvantages when he gets mad.
Danica become nervous now.
Danica Lim
“You’re, You’re a monster. I don’t want you anymore.”
Rafael sighed and still holding he’s tears, he feels so hurt after hearing Danica what said to him.
Rafael Park
Fine, I don’t want to see you on my company from now on, and I don’t want to see your face.” I said. And I took my leave to her condo.
Rafael is the son of the owner of that company that they are both working at the same time. The CEO.
He go towards his car and drives it somewhere...
Towards the park where he always meet Angel 10 years ago...
He always visit there on the bus stop, maybe he could see Angel again. Not just he liked Angel. He want to thank Angel’s advice.
But when he go home. And he came back to the bus stop. He never saw Angel again.
Rafael always showed at the television, he knows that Angel knows he was the only boy she gave an advice when they are both young.
It’s enough for Rafael. To show Angel he grew and became a successful man.
When he came at the park. He stopped his car there. He wore his hoodie and he entered the park without hesitation. On his every step...those beautiful flowers and grass went dry. It all become black just like what he feels.
Then he just sat on some bench. Thinking deeply.

“Why all of them hates me...are they that much afraid of me?”
He sighed again and looking at the half of the park that went so dry. And the half of it beside him wasn’t since he haven’t stepped into it.
Rafael Park
“I wished I was born normal.”
He saw a stone and threw it somewhere.
He look at the stone seriously. If he will hit something.
He just hit a girl. The girl fell down to the ground. His eyes widened and quickly stood up.
He stepped on the grass. But it stayed green. He run towards that girl.
Rafael Park
“Are you okay?” I asked the girl. But her hair was covering her whole face.
Angel Bass
“I feel dizzy, this is all your fault.” I whispered.
Rafael Park
Her tone was just like she’s really feels pain.
Rafael Park
“Let me see.” I said. But she gestured me to stop. She tried to stood up. But she can’t. She feel so dizzy that she can’t even stand up.
Rafael swing his arm around her shoulder to help her and he held her waist. They both walked towards the bus stop. And they sit there.
Rafael Park
“I can manage that, just trust me.” I said.
The girl didn’t respond. So he came close to the girl. Rafael took some strand of her hair. And put it behind her ear.
That is, when he finally recognize who that girl is.
Angel Bass
The boy called me. And I shot a look at him. And my eyes widened.
Angel Bass
“R-Rafael?” I said. And Rafael smiled.
Rafael Park
“Long time no see, do you know I always come here. Maybe I could see you.”
Rafael said and Angel’s blushing. She thought Rafael already forgot her.
Angel Bass
“Hmmm...really?” I asked and he nodded.
Angel Bass
Then. Suddenly Rafael moves his hand closer to my face. Till he touched my forehead where I was hit by the stone.
Angel Bass
Rafael took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a while.
After a few seconds the scar just disappeared. Because of Rafael’s unexplainable ability.
Rafael Park
“What are you feeling now?” I asked Angel.
Angel Bass
I touched my forehead. And it didn’t feel any pain anymore. And my dizzy feeling left.
Angel Bass
“I’m okay...you’re really amazing.” I said and smiled.
Rafael suddenly felt better. She was the first person told him he was amazing. Even she knows he was a vampire.
Rafael Park
“You grew taller now, I thought you will be short even you grow up.” I said and I chuckled.
He feel great after 10 years. They still saw each other on the same place they both parted.
Angel Bass
“Don’t tease me, I’m more beautiful now. Am I?” I said it proudly. And we both just laughed.
This was another beginning for the both of them.
