Chapter 5

He was rich. Filthy rich. Hard earned filthiness. And he was proud. Proud of his abilities and usually had a good idea on what he wanted. He is a clear headed person, at least he thinks he is or that's what he believed (How wrong he was). So with these in mind our hero got in his car and was currently on his way to the company. His manager is pregnant so she had taken a long leave till her pregnancy was over. Usually it's just the last two months pregnant women took leave but due to complications in her pregnancy the doctor had advised her to not do anything that gets her stressed. And well being a manager is one of the most stressful things. So he had advised her quite playfully to quit the job. He still remembered his conversation with her.

"You should just quit the job now that you are pregnant. If people find out that you are pregnant, they'll *say its my child. And you know how much I hate being in a scandal with old women. Ugh, makes me feel like vomiting." Lyle said as his handsome face twisted to mock disgust.*

"As if. I've been in this field longer than you have and I'm pretty sure I can handle a few setbacks. But any sensible woman won't get pregnant with your child and I'm pretty sure your fans know that. Who wants their kid to be an idiot? It will be, after all, your child" His manager, Mrs. Bella Brooke said. She was one of the best manager in the company and she had even managed to win the best manager award a few times (Who even knew such things existed?). And she was really easy to get along with. She was a 35-year-old happily married woman to Mr. Brooke who she met in her high school days and now was currently pregnant with their 3rd child.

"I wonder how he does it" Lyle sneered as Bella shot him a dirty look.

"Anyway" he said, "I really care about you Bell. Please listen to me just this one time. I can take care of myself. I'm a big boy. I can handle this for an year. The company will assign me a temporary manager for this period. I just want you safe and happy Bell" he said giving her a small encouraging smile. She stared at him for who-knows-how-long before sighing and giving in.

"He told you, didn't he? Okay then. I'll do it. I'll listen to you".

"Really? That's awesome!!".

"But! Only if you promise to follow the rules set by me".

"What?! No way! You are not my mom. I am a respectable young handsome man. I'm not....... following.....them",he said as he swallowed hard.

"I said ONLY if you follow the rules. Are we clear?" she asked menacingly.

"Aye" Lyle said as he slightly shivered in fear.

"So, as we were talking before....."

A shiver ran down his spine as he remembered her rules and the promise that came along if he failed to follow.
