Chapter 3

She decided to wear a light pink shaded off-shoulder top and coupled it with a white short skirt and sneakers. She looked cute, if she did say so herself. She checked the time and found that she still had an hour to spare. She made herself some tea and pancakes for herself. She was pretty good at cooking. After eating, she washed the plates and checked the room for her purse. After checking her herself one more time she left for the office.

The office was not really strict on timing as long as everyone does their job wholeheartedly and perfectly. One of the other perks. Today she wanted to reach there a little early. With the meeting and all, she wanted to take a tour of the company and build up her confidence. If possible she wanted to read some articles which she had seen the last day about one of her favourite actors. With that in her mind she left her home after safely securing the place with her lock. She made her way through the busy street to reach the destination. On reaching there, Edna went inside and was greeted with the smell of fresh coffee and a warm smile from her best friend Hana Thomas.

"Good morning," she said.

"Are you excited for today? I definitely am. Do you think they will select us? I hope they do. Oh my god, I'm so nervous. What do you think Ed? Tell me! Tell me! Oh! How do I look? Good right? I had spent the entire night on trying to decide what to wear and there were so many choices. It was so hard. But then my brother came in and asked for my headset and I told him he could take it if he helped me choose my dress and he said okay. I was shocked that my brother was willing to help me Ed! But then he chose this ugly yellow frock and told me to wear it. I didn't even know there was such a dress in my closet. I was so shocked! I screamed at him and kicked him out of my room Ed! Is he even my brother? How can he choose something like that?! I swear Ed, I'll burn the dress and my brother together" Hana exclaimed.

"Hana you are blabbering now. And yes, I kinda understand what you might be feeling. And yes, I am also nervous. And that dress looks gorgeous on you. And yes, your brother is an idiot. You should know it's better to ask a wooden board for fashion advice than men. But I wonder why he agreed to help you". Edna thinks while Hana ponders over it.

"Yeah, you're right. Should have figured. And I really don't know why he agreed. He must have wanted something from me. I'll know soon enough though. Now c'mon, look at the time. We hafta reach the meeting room now! nOW! NOW! Otherwise the pig will have our head" Hana says, referring to their head, pulling her along. They both made their way to the meeting room. As Edna turned around the corner, she crashed into someone.
