Chapter Three

*Flash Back*

In that morning and after Jessica went to school, Athena was preparing herself to go to work. Since she escaped from Xenon to Ranor, all responsibilities fell on her to raise her daughter without a father. She had done the best to make her live as normal people in Ranor did.

Though Jessica was not normal especially since her father was God of wisdom. She never knew whom he was. She entered the restaurant she was working at. Took off her clothes and wore the uniform. Customers started to come there. She was so dynamic, looking like a young lady with a red hair and a beautiful body and face.

Most of customers were offering her marrying as she kept refusing because of her daughter. She made a promise to her husband that she would take care of her though he would start a new life. That day, someone came to her at lunch time.

"Happy morning for Joestian's wife," She spoke with an evil smile as Athena turned to look at her with a shocked expression on the face.

"What.. Are you.. What are you doing here!?" Athena asked looking around to find herself in a protected space.

A protected space is a place made by Xenonians whom belong to Nero and Aeras districts where people have abilities of controlling water and air. It is made generally for fights though to have personal issues to solve with or persons from Xenon whom are staying in Ranor to deal with in person.

That elf who came to Athena was using a protected space just to talk to her. Lyn was an evil elf female whom was sent by Joestian, God of wisdom, her husband, to let her know of something important about their daughter. Lyn was transmitting Joestian's message.

"Why you look shocked seeing me?! Happy to see me that much!?" Lyn pronounced in an evil way staring at Athena's eyes. She looked so scared.

"No! I can't be happy seeing something or someone from Xenon world! I left you all why you're still following me?!" Athena shouted at her with a defending tone.

"Then I have a message for you from your husband the wisest God Joestian," Lyn tightened her eyes in an evil way.

"What does he want from me! He isn't my husband. He used to be. Now he isn't!" Athena replied denying as she was angry and scared at the same time.

"I have nothing to do with you. If you have something to tell him go to him. I don't work for you at all. Also, I won't explain anything so here's the letter and you read it by yourself. Understand it yourself!" The elf female claimed in anger. She had always hated Athena just because her and Joestian were in love with each other though she was from Ranor as her husband was a God in Xenon.

She gave her the letter that he sent it for her then disappeared with the protected space.

Athena was so scared. Fear expressions were on her face. She had never expected that someday she'd be related to Xenon again.

"Athena! Hurry! There are lot of requests!" The chief of the restaurant shouted at her as she was frozen.

"Yes sir! Coming," She started working again as nothing happened.

That day passed heavily on her. She kept thinking of what would happen to her and her daughter.

She wasn't supposed to leave and run away of Xenon to her world taking a God's daughter with her though she was his wife. Joestian got mad. He wanted his daughter badly. He loved her the day she was created in Athena's belly. He gave her all his love and kindness as she was born. He could've stopped his wife but he just left her go. He loved her so much as she did. However, she had no choice only to run away to protect her daughter from being spelled.

Athena went back home, went directly to her bedroom getting that letter signed by Joestian out of her hand bag. She opened it and started to read as she found inside it a very beautiful and attractive ring.

"Dear whom was mine one day,

All what we wanted had been wasted with what our actions revealed. We were selfish that we didn't give our daughter what we once wished and dreamed about. You took her from her father as you escaped from your lover's arms leaving him dying alone in dark cold nights and cold lights. I have never asked you for something to do to me but now I want you to know that I want my daughter back. I know you wouldn't like that neither accepting it, just to let you know, my dearest Athena, I spelled a curse on her, that was before she took her away from me. Her birthday is close and I have a sweet present for her which will make her meet me someday. There is a special ring I am offering her as a present once she gets twenty years old I want you to give it to her. I won't lie at you but an evil demon will show up to her, stick to her, going wherever she goes, seeing her whenever he wants and after all this, he might drives her crazy and she would look like that to other Ranorians. He will never let go of her whatever happens, only when you both will get back to Xenon and exactly to me. You comeback home inside my arms as she will be living under my protection since I am her father. Don't worry, though you won't let her wear it and whatever you throw it or try to destroy it you won't be able to do that at all. Selfishness will always be paid back by itself.

Once she started reading the letter her tears started to fall hardly from her eyes. She cried so much holding that letter inside her hand and the ring in the other hand. Hugging them to her chest. Missing her only true love, her husband, her lover and her daughter's father.

Distance is what we actually fear while being in love or as we decide to be in a relationship with a close compatible partner. Distance is the thing we hate. Each inch and each centimeter we count has a meaning.

To be so much close, sharing the same air, same bed sheets, same feelings, same heartbeats and same touches. Kisses were the meal and cuddles and hugs were the cover as their bodies were the bed for each other.

Athena gave everything to Joestian as he did the same. Two souls united, intertwined and created a new soul called their daughter. That warmth she used to feel, that endless happiness beside the one she loved and married. They broke rules to be together. They fought to get each other and they won to do that. But nothing lasts forever.
